Twice in the last week, Trump the traitor moved against the best interests of the United States and the civilized world in order to kiss the sagging ass of the president of Russia. These moves are in direct opposition to the welfare of our country.
Trump is still fighting the accusation of collusion between him and Russia during he 2020 election. He’s still mad at Zelensky because he thinks Ukraine threw him to the wolves in his impeachment trial. He doesn’t care if Zelensky honors the U.S., he wants Zelensky’s personal apology for all that old history. That’s what the explosion in the Oval Office press conference was all about. That’s why he and Vance set up the Ukrainian president.
Trump claims he wants peace, but he has no idea how to go about obtaining it. He just isn’t smart enough. He’s in way over his head, and part of his problem is that he needs someone to grovel to him just to make him feel like a big deal. This flaw will ultimately be the reason the peace talks fail. He’s a nasty child trying to force the big boys to bow to him instead of guiding them to a functional deal.
Then, after it all played out, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson proved the GOP is still up for groveling before the would-be dictator by accusing Zelensky of causing the failure of the meeting, when it was obvious to anyone with an open mind that it was Trump and Vance who caused the meeting to fail–because they believed the false misconception that Ukraine started the war.
Johnson says Zelensky made demands. That’s a lie. Zelensky came to a meeting set up because Trump wanted to get paid for aid that was sent to Ukraine with no strings attached. That’s the reality, whether the White House wants to face it or not.

When Amy Coney Barrett was picked by Trump for the Supreme Court, thinking people all over the country were outraged. Here was a woman of superior intelligence who was actually a member of a religious cult, a cult that told her what to think and would tell her how to vote. Barrett had been nominated to the court supposedly because of her brains but was actually picked for her political leanings. The thought in Trump circles was she would remain a loyal Trump follower for her tenure. What no one took into account, neither those who approved of her appointment nor those who were against it, was that her Roman Catholicism would triumph over everything else and eventually lead her to vote against Trump on many issues of moral question. Dumb Donald never considered that the same Catholicism that led her to vote against abortion would lead her to vote against many of Trump’s immoral positions, and that by the time he returned to office, she would be a painful thorn in his side.

Ever since 2007, when another Republican president who knew nothing about economics tried to make believe he did, and crashed the economy, we have been on a fiscal up-curve. It culminated in the last few years, and America has been the shinning economic light of the planet, the envy of all other nations. Now Donald Trump in his uninformed and foolhardy search to “Make America Great Again,” has crashed the economy that was the envy of the civilized world, and substituted the blundering stupidity of the Trump/Musk syndrome. It hasn’t started to burn down the Trump empire yet, but it showed up yesterday, when Musk’s Tesla shares went through the floor. Did Elon deserve such a blow? You bet!
Oh, and by the way, Elon, Social Security is not an entitlement. We paid the money that’s in it, directly from our salaries. Now we want it back. You can take that to the bank.

The Post-American world. You heard about it, you’ve read about it. You listened to it being referred to by brilliant political thinkers like Fareed Zacharia. Now, through the diabolical dishonesty and brain-dead logic of Donald Trump, you can see it emerge from the political slime, devouring eighty-year-old American foreign policy that has kept the world mostly at peace despite the malignant presence of the universe’s most deadly organism, man.
Ever since WWII, what has sometimes been laughingly referred to as American Foreign policy has ruled the planet. And amazingly, it has, for the most part, worked. Sure, we’ve had wars, but nothing on the scale of WWII. In Europe, the biggest war since the Big One is currently laying bare the Ukraine and it’s only two countries. The cowardly Trump, who we all know is terrified of engaging in another war, is doing his best to avoid it by talking tough and cringing in the corner, a strategy that anyone who has engaged in any kind of competition knows is calamitous. Trump is the kind of clown who starts a negotiation by giving away the house, the land, and the money to gain favor with his opponent, while Putin graciously accepts these concessions and then kicks you in the nuts.
Peace happens because both contestants understand war won’t get them what they want and will, even if they win, cause them to lose more than they gain.
Understanding this, previous American leaders developed a series of organizations and treaties designed to protect the peace by presenting a front that was too powerful for any nation to go against. The basis was NATO and the UN, and they worked. But Trump isn’t bright enough to understand this and is now busy undermining both and setting our allies against us. Immediately after taking office, he engaged in a series of announcements establishing himself as an empire building imperialistic dictator by claiming Greenland, Canada, and Panama. This is the Trump way to win friends and influence fools, the lessons taught him by his criminal father.
How far will he try to drag us down this disastrous path? Far enough to create disaster. Unless he is stopped, and the way to do that is through the courts and congress. Unless he goes too far and the same element of the American people that rose up and said “No” to Vietnam, and said “No” to Nazi Germany, emerges from its slumber and burns the White House to the ground, with Trump, Bannon, Miller, Vance, and the rest of them in it.
Of course, this will never happen because Foreign Policy, no matter how egregious, is never the motivating force for the American people. But let’s see what happens if the orange idiot is able to damage Social Security. Let’s see what happens when he hits a large enough segment of the population where it really hurts … in their pocketbook. It won’t be the liberals. There are more than enough Trump followers who’d be more than happy to drag him from the White House and hang his traitorous ass from the nearest tree if they saw their monthly checks dwindle or disappear. Those are the people who have been betrayed by almost everyone who has taken possession of the White House. They followed Trump because he talked tough and that appealed to them, but they will turn on him in a nano-second if they suspect he has his hand in their pockets. And they will come with the vengeance of the betrayed.
