All the Lies and Now Disaster

Ever since Obama’s last two years as President, the GOP has held sway in congress.  That meant that nothing got done unless the GOP wanted it to get done. Most of the time they didn’t want anything to get done so no bills passed and no one had a shot at a judgeship or a good government job unless he passed Republican muster.

Now the Democrats are in power in the House and, surprise, the GOP is upset because the Dems don’t want to fund the wall, which the GOP claim they want to do, but never did when they had the chance.

For the first two years of Trump disaster the GOP had complete control of the government and the wall was never built. Why do you suppose that was? Maybe because Mitch McConnell didn’t want a wall? Maybe because McConnell understood that a wall was a waste of money and it would cost him votes in the next election?  Now with the Dems in power in the House, McConnell can blame the wall on them if they let it get built. He’s already deep into trying to do that.

But the Dems don’t want a wall. So they ‘re the ones who are being stubborn and not working together with their GOP House members? What a crock!

So the GOP rolls out pretty boy congressman Adam Kinzinger to ring the bell for bi-partisan politics. The problem is that Kinzinger wants both sides to give something to get something and neither the GOP nor their President ever wants to give up anything. Kinzinger is out there trying to sell this bullshit and Mitch McConnell is lying from both side of his prune face, telling the world that the Dems won’t give anything up while Trump is willing to bend over backward to get the government open again.

Poor Kinzinger stands there; so full of crap it’s running down his chin while Morning Joe’sWillie Geist buries him by calling him on everything he is trying to lie about. He babbles on about how it’s the Democrat’s job to accept somewall so they can get on with the deal. It isn’t!

It isn’t anyone’s job to waste money on something that won’t do the job just to make our infantile President happy. It’s McConnell’s job to convince Trump to accept a sensible, that is, wall-less deal and reopen the government. Trump won’t accept any deal he doesn’t see as a win/win and McConnell doesn’t seem to have the balls to force the fat liars hand.

Trump’s petty retaliation for Pelosi’s shutting him out of the House for the State of the Union address has only shown him to be the small, nasty, would be bully that we have all known him to be since his old man was a slum lord in NYC. But why did Pelosi do that? Why did she find it worthwhile to shut him out of her domain?

All you have to do is go back to what Trump has done with his previous addresses to the nation. Those speeches in which he abandoned the normal Presidential address to the citizens to vomit out a torrent of lies and invective aimed at anyone and everyone who had disagreed with him on any subject.

When Trump made his recent speech from the Oval Office, his first and only one in two years, it was not to inform the American people of some emergency that was about to overtake them. It was not to announce some new policy that would affect their lives. It was about attacking Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and all Democrats for not doing what the GOP had not done in the previous two years. It was just a longer Tweet. It was about lying his way through a description of what the useless wall would do to protect the American people. It was lying to criminalize all those fleeing from violence and murder in their native countries. Considering this lying tirade, is it any wonder that Pelosi doesn’t want to give this degenerate a platform to do it again?

Based on all previous indications, Trump wont give a State of the Union address. He will deliver another rant against all those who are thwarting him in his egomaniacal desire to have what he wants, whether or not it is good for the country.

What had been clear in the midst of all previous Trump malfeasance was, there were only two things that Trump really feared, his base and Robert Mueller. Well, there are now three, the third being Nancy Pelosi. He proved that when he cancelled her trip to Afghanistan and a couple of other countries.  It was a petty move by a petty man, made necessary by his knowledge of the fact that she is stronger than he is, better at her job, more adept at maneuvering congress to do her bidding and better able to show the American people that she is doing the right thing, mainly because she is actually doing the right thing, while he s doing only what can benefit him.

Yes, Nancy Pelosi scares the living crap out of the fat liar and right there is the reason why he will never be able to best her in the continuing duel of government. She is smarter, more experienced and more knowledgeable in the game they are playing. His problem is that he knows it and it drives him crazy.

It seems that while Trump was busy playing, “cancel the plans,” with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and continuing to cause the shutdown of the government over his dumb wall desires, another item of real danger slipped into the news.

Buzz Feed alleged in what is now a controversial story, that Trump directed, his then lawyer, Michael Cohen, to lie to congress about the Moscow Tower project. If provable, this is a felony and could be the straw that breaks the fat orange camel’s back.

Buzz Feed writes that Trump and his kids received regular reports on the project from Cohen even after the election, even while the President was stating that he had no business deals with Russia. This information has supposedly come down from multiple witnesses in the Trump Organization that were confirming Cohen’s testimony. Buzz Feed also states that company emails, text messages and a cache of other internal documents also confirmed these accusations.

According to the story, Cohen told special counsel that after the election, the President personally instructed him to lie. He wanted Cohen to claim the negotiations ended months earlier then they did. This was done to obscure Trump’s involvement in the hotel deal and make it more amenable to the Emoluments Clause.

If true this, by any standards, is a huge problem for Trump because it creates a prima facie case of obstruction of justice, a serious felony. This, all by itself, could put Trump behind bars.If the story is true, and it is reported to come from many sources in law enforcement as well as the Trump organization and Michael Cohen; then it is a serious blow to Trump and any hopes he entertained of slipping out of his legal troubles without a jail sentence. Also, because it revolves around the Russians, it brings the whole mess back to Trump’s involvement with them on the election conspiracy.

Up until now, Trump has been treating this whole affair the way he would have treated a building inspection violation back in NYC. He figured he could slip the inspector a few bucks, pay off a contractor or threaten a reporter and walk away, with at most a small fine.  What Trump has never understood about this whole affair is, in gaining the Presidency he made a step up in class that he just doesn’t have the class to handle.

If Trump has in fact suborned perjury and the evidence is said to be there, it’s an open and shut case. Trump will be impeached almost immediately. He will be a proven felon. Then all that will be needed is to find 17 Republican Senators with the backbone to vote the evidence. This may be harder to do than one would imagine. There may not be a single functional backbone on the right side of the Senate aisle.

But now the Mueller office has released a statement that the Buzz Feed story is “inaccurate.” This statement is terse and not at all informative. What, exactly do they mean by “inaccurate” as it relates to all the information revealed in the Buzz Feed release? What part or parts are inaccurate and to what degree are any or all of the important segments inaccurate? Or is the Mueller Office release aimed simply at minimizing any blunting effect the story could have on the final release of information by the Special Counsel? Are there real factual errors involved in the Buzz Feed story? If there are, how important are they to the conviction of Trump on the charges involved?

Yes, it’s a mess but what else is new? Trump’s complete disregard of even seeming to be Presidential, along with his universal dismissal of truth as any kind of desired goal, has ended up with the entre nation mired in a muddy swamp of evil and dismay. Maybe Buzz Feed’s story is accurate. Maybe it’s just a misguided attempt to kill the poisonous snake in our midst. In any case this kind of controversy would never surface in a world where a real President occupied a real White House.

Ignoring all this, the fat liar was on the tube Saturday trying to con the American people into believing that he was actually interested in providing real border security. Only this time he was not only holding the government hostage, he also threw in the DACA kids. This slob isn’t interested in border security or the problems with immigration or anything else except getting his useless wall, a wall that has been disparaged by everyone who knows anything about security, a wall that will not provide any security at the southern border or anywhere else. It won’t stop drugs, or illegal immigration, or the mobility of terrorists. What it will do is make his sycophants feel better about him and that’s just not good enough.

Pelosi can’t go along with this. Schumer can’t go along with this. McConnell must finally stand up on his hind legs and be a man. He has to act in the interest of the nation for a change instead of just acting for his own personal aggrandizement.

Trump is just an immoral scumbag who hasn’t any concept of his job or his responsibilities and thinks only of himself. At least at some point in the past, McConnell seemed to have some sense of right and wrong. Where has it gone Mitch?

Trump has added “a humanitarian crisis” to national security as reasons for his desire for a wall. Of course he hasn’t come up with a reasonable lie to explain how a wall will help the humans trying to flee violence and gangs in their native countries. He also hasn’t dealt with the fact that most of the humanitarian problems that exist along the southern birder are a direct result of his actions. Separating kids from their parents didn’t just happen. It was a direct result of a Trump policy carried out by the racist moron he made Attorney General and then drove out of office.

Trump babbles about compromise, but what compromise is he talking about. He wants to talk about DACA and immigration and how he will give things on both to get his wall. Really? He created the DACA problem! He created the current immigration problem. Now he wants the Democrats to give him something to solve the problems he caused. How about he just backs off his positions on DACA and immigration and we’ll call it even.  Then he can open the government and then maybe we can talk about walls we don’t need.

Based on his unchallengeable history of lying every time he opens his mouth, there is no reason why anyone who is negotiating with Trump should accept anything he says. Lying has consequences.

Maybe if they can bring themselves to understand that concept, the Republicans, who have accepted his lying as, no big deal, will finally understand that lying has consequences. Those consequences are, no agreement!

This is where the fat liar, with McConnell’s support, has led the country.
