So the fat liar caved and is now opening up the government, finally paying workers who kept coming to work even though they weren’t getting paid. Some of those government workers were real heroes. They’re the ones who showed up for work, knowing that they wouldn’t get paid but knowing that they, unlike Trump, were essential to the process of making the nation work.
No one in the Trump administration turned out to be anything even remotely heroic. This was a natural situation since, as we all know the fish stinks from the head. That smelly head is Donald J. Trump, the criminal progeny of a racist landlord and a pimp of a California whorehouse.
When Trump stumbled into putting together his rich boy cabinet and criminal administration he was mirroring his own rich punk upbringing. He even brags about having the richest cabinet in history. He brags because he thinks being rich gives one some kind of cachet or insight into how to do their jobs, rather than distancing them from the public they are supposed to serve. So what’s the result?
Wilbur Ross- Commerce Secretary said in reference to the unpaid government workers: He didn’t really understand why food bank visits are happening and he didn’t understand why these people who were not getting paid couldn’t get loans. No, Wilbur wouldn’t understand that, and that’s exactly why he shouldn’t be Commerce Secretary.
Lara Trump, the President’s daughter-in-law told us that the shutdown caused a little bit of pain but in the long run it would be good for the country. Maybe if the pain had been hers, this spoiled little bimbo would have a different opinion.
Then, of course, there’s Larry Kudlow, self described economic genius who has been wrong about the economy for at least the last 30 years. He thinks the shutdown is just a glitch and asks; “Am I out of touch?” As usual, Larry, YES!
Trump himself speaks about the country not being viable without a wall. We all know the President can’t read and knows nothing about history so I feel it’s my duty as a citizen to point out to him that the country has remained viable without his wall for over 250 years. Strangely enough, there was a time when we actually knew how to integrate foreigners into our economy.
Even though Trump probably agrees with all the above imbeciles, he seems to know enough to step away from their statements. What he hasn’t done is show us that in his temporary settlements there is some solution to the long-term problem of sleazy politicians using government workers as hostages to their pathetic plans. In three weeks we could be back exactly where we are now. This is more probable than not since there is currently no one in government who wants to give him what he so desperately wants.
That’s right, no one. Even the GOP doesn’t want a wall. In the first two years of this administration when they had all aspects of the government under their control, they never moved to build any kind of wall, mainly because they understood that it wouldn’t do the job and it was nothing but a waste of money.
The reality is that neither Nancy Pelosi nor anyone else was responsible for besting Trump in ending the shutdown. What stopped him were the people he was screwing. What stopped him was the sudden rise of TSA and Air Traffic controllers reporting in sick. If the air traffic system shut down because of Trump’s actions, he might as well walk out the door of the White House, lock it behind him and disappear into one of his golf courses.
The recommendations that all the government workers should walk out, turned out to be so accurate that they didn’t even have to. When LaGuardia Airport in NYC all but shut down on Friday it sent a message to the fat liar that he wasn’t king and that he better get off his ass and do something or he’d be looking at a Louis XXI ending.
This week the possession of Trump’s manhood passed from Ann Coulter to Nancy Pelosi when she nailed him to his own border wall. Of course he had to have an out, so he finished the announcement of his capitulation on the shutdown by threatening that if the Dems didn’t come across with wall money he will declare an emergency and build the wall with soldiers. An emergency? This nonsense has been going on for years. Where’s the emergency? Obviously our Liar-in-Chief isn’t bright enough to know what an emergency is.
So what will happen if Trump tries this ploy? Well, the Democrats will sue, claiming there is no emergency and this thing will end up in court for months or years. Trump will be off the hook with his base until the courts come to some decision and the Dems will have opened the government without giving Trump a dime for his ridiculous wall. It will then have become into a political win/win for both sides.

Dan Bossie of Citizens United was on This Week, Sunday. For those of you who don’t know Bossie, he is another fat liar in the mold of his idol Donald Trump. The first words out of this clown’s mouth are: President Trump is standing fast to get things done for the American people. When has Trump ever worried about the American people? All he cares about is himself. Bossie clearly doesn’t understand this. If he does he has chosen to ignore it.
I truly believe in giving both sides an equal opportunity in any discussion but Stephanopoulos destroys his own program when he elicits the participation of lying fools and allows them to argue points based on obvious untruths and unreasonable propositions.
In defending Trump’s actions in shutting down the government over the wall Bossie lies with every statement, all the while proposing ridiculous positions that not even Rudy Giuliani would try to defend. He tries to defend the ludicrous concept that after two years and a lot of money the Mueller probe has come up with nothing. I guess he’s such a congenital criminal that he considers 37 indictments and a bunch of convictions nothing.
He tries to dismiss the idea that the Mexicans will pay for the wall, a claim that Trump made over 212 times during his campaign. This guy is a bombastic fool and should be relegated to right wing radio. Because of Bossie’s stupidity and ridiculous accusations the entire panel segment of the show disintegrated into chaos. The producers of This Weekmade a serious mistake in inviting this clown to participate in the show. Unless they are insane they will never again have him back.

The new Democratic majority in the House has to prove that they have the will and the focus to produce new and specific legislation that will benefit the voters who put them in office. If they don’t they will disappear into the morass that is currently made up of most of the Republican legislators who have held sway in the government for the last few years.
A good choice for the first legislation that the Dems should get behind is the New Green Deal, a policy initiative backed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders. The preliminary blueprint of the movement lays out an economy based entirely on renewable and clean energy. This would be a great program for the House to push to its limits and it seems that Speaker Pelosi is being encouraged to create a New Green Deal Committee chaired by Ocasio-Cortez.
Unfortunately Democratic leadership seems to be supporting a Committee chaired by Florida Rep Cathy Castor who has been known to accept funding from the fossil fuel industry. Despite this, the young movement behind Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t seem to be going away.
Much of the context of a New Green Deal would be based on the original New Deal instituted during the Roosevelt administration to drag the nation out of the Great Depression. But this one, in addition to providing tens of thousands of jobs in infrastructure, would concentrate on replacing our poisonous fossil fuel and dangerously aging nuclear power grid with renewables and clean energy.
It has already been amply demonstrated that fossil fuel is no longer environmentally or economically viable and will in a few years simply price itself out of the market. Of course Trump has been fighting this by providing cheap leases to his cronies to drill on public land. This kind of betrayal of the public good may eventually land Trump in jail even if he manages to avoid all his tax mess and his money laundering mess along with his involvement with the Russians and their meddling in the election that got him into the White House.
Trump sent his ill-advised advisor Larry Kudlow out a few weeks ago to announce that the administration wants to end subsidies for electric cars and renewable energy sources. The immediate thought is why would anyone in his right mind do that? But then it’s Trump, not someone in his right mind.
Progressives would have no problem eliminating those clean energy tax credits if the administration also lifted the fossil fuel tax credits that have benefited Trump’s cronies in the oil business for the last fifty years. They have already made billions on tax credits that never involved profits or how many billions they were raking off the top. I say kill all the credits and let them fight it out on a level economic playing field and see how long it takes to eliminate fossil fuels from our energy plan altogether. Most educated sources say the fight will be over in five years.
The other problem is the fallacy that nuclear is just as good as renewable. The fight for nuclear is being headed up by Senator John Barrasco ® Wyoming, who argues, incorrectly, that nuclear is produced with zero carbon emissions. The fact is nuclear does produce some carbon-14 directly from the process but that the enormous quantities of waste heat released directly into the eco-sphere make the operating process even less echo-friendly than coal. There’s also the salient fact that five of these nuclear plants have blown up endangering vast populations. They are Chernobyl 4 and Fukushima 1-2-3-4.
Nuke jerks like Barrasco love to envision huge numbers of nuclear plants coming on line with all the latest and future improvements but the fact is that anything like that is years and billions of dollars away. The only example available is at Vogtle, Georgia where Trump recently granted a $3.7 billion low interest loan added to $8 billion already granted by Obama to private developers who are already years behind in construction of a new nuclear facility with the only real possibility that the project will take many billions more and won’t ever be completed.
There are 98 nuclear reactors still licensed to operate in this country and most are already long past their safe life span. Pacific Gas & Electric, owners of two reactors iu San Louis Obispo, which are built on a nuclear fault and are currently threatening the entire area of southern California, admits they can replace both with renewable energy and never have to burn any more coal, oil or gas and do it cheaper than it is currently being done but they have no clue as to how to safely take down the reactors. In addition they currently have a lot of fossil fuel that they already own and don’t want to lose.
It will not be an easy fight. Wealthy, entrenched interests with trillions at stake are dead set against any change in our reliance in fossil fuel, regardless of the health interests. They are holding huge reserves of fossil fuels and they have their buddy the President on their side. Still the fight must be fought and won. The future of the nation and ultimately the planet depends on it.
If the Democrats can drag this one out and then with a double win in 2020 close it will be the most significant ecological and political win in 70 tears. Ultimately it will mean that your kids will still be breathing in 50 years.
