After the Report. A Brief pause.

Trump’s insane behavior keeps going from bad to worse, which drove everyone to ask the big question. Will the release of the Mueller report calm him down? Well the report has been released but so far has been read only by Attorney General Barr. So what has happened? Well Trump hasn’t made a sound for two whole days. Interesting.

So the next question becomes, since Mueller didn’t indict anyone new, when does the House move to impeach?  But last week, Nancy Pelosi stepped up, as she is wont to, and declared that as of now we don’t have any legitimate or functional reason to impeach Donald Trump, and she’s right. We may not like that, but that’s where we are. Right now we have neither enough evidence to impeach nor enough votes to convict so just going through the process, even though it would be a pain in Trump’s ass, is a silly waste of resources, especially at a time when the nation is so desperate for functionality.

Tom Styer, the big impeach buff, has come out against Pelosi’s stance but he thinks bringing it to the people is a solution. It’s not! Actually the people have no say in this. They had their say in the 2016 election and they said wrong. Now they’re stuck with that choice.

The House has the responsibility to impeach or not to impeach. The Senate has the responsibility to convict or not. It’s that simple.  At this point the people have no say in the matter.

Styer keeps talking about the American people demanding that the Senate do the right thing but he doesn’t seem to realize that the Senate doesn’t give a rat’s ass what the American people want. They are only interested in what their base wants, and that percentage of idiots, who think Trump is God’s gift to the great unwashed, will never push their GOP stooges to vote against Trump. They don’t care that he is a degenerate criminal; they think he’s their guy and they want him to be king; a thought that the Fat Lair in the White House demonstratively goes along with.

But in case you were not aware, the dictatorship is here! Many pundits were worried that if he were impeached or voted out of office, Trump would refuse to leave and make some kind of attempt at a coup.  Well it happened this week when Trump threatened the American people with their own military and police and in case we didn’t get his point, he added bikers to his personal military force. Bikers?   Who else would the fat sleaze pick to represent his army of white supremacist morons?

So now there’s no doubt. Trump sees himself as The King of the USA and just to be sure we all understand, he is admitting it on national TV. If you had any doubt about the fat liar’s intentions it’s time to put them aside.

It’s finally time for the GOP to decide whether they are American Patriots or just toadies of Donald Trump. They must come together with their Democratic associates to control Trump’s dictatorial impulses and keep him within the parameters of the presidency.

A discussion of the divisive hate that is growing in this country on Meet the Pressseemed like it was trying to ignore the catalyst of all that hate.  Only Chuck Todd seemed willing to put it at the feet of our hate filled and divisive President. Trump spent last weekend insanely sending out over 50 Tweets; many of them vicious volumes of hatred about John McCain, a dead hero.  Is it any wonder that the nation, with this President’s lead, is a divided mess?

Trump’s hatred for McCain is unreasonable, yet Lindsay Graham; once McCain’s best friend has abandoned his longtime mentor and is now busy slobbering over Trump’s fat ass.

And now with the horrific slaughter of Muslims in New Zealand we are once again faced with a President who refuses to condemn white supremacist terrorists, who veers, at any mention of them to the Muslim terrorism, who ignores the fact that over 70% of mass shootings in this country have been at the hands of white supremacists while only 7% have been the result of Muslim terrorism.

Trump is a racist and a bigot and every act he has perpetrated since his disgusting Birther attack on Obama leads to the same indelible conclusion. He is a disgrace to the office he holds, a serious threat to national security and probably more insane than not.  But there is no way he will ever accept any of these accusations, so the only solution to the problems he presents is keep House control until 2020 and defeat in that election.

The Democrats already have more than enough serious candidates that can beat him in 2020. Now they have to show the American people that not only can they win the election, but they also understand that to do it they must present a serious slate of programs along with the information showing they know how to implement them. If they can do that, they will rid us of this plague.

Over the years, Donald Trump made a lot of noise bragging about being a dealmaker but he was always talking about a different kind of deal than he is encountering in international situations. He just isn’t smart enough to understand that. Trump has had some success in the real estate business where everyone wants the same thing – money. But that is far different than trying to make a deal with the leader of a nation that doesn’t want what we want.

In the real estate business very few deals are made between parties that are in opposition. In international deal making, to a large degree, the parties involved are almost always in opposition. In real estate the only bone of contention is how much each party will get from the deal, but both will always want the deal to go through or they wouldn’t be at the table. In international negotiations the individual parties are all at the table,  despite the fact that they often want completely different things.

When Trump wants to buy a building and Durst wants to sell a building they are not in opposition. They both want the same thing to happen – a sale. They are only negotiating about how much they each make. When Trump is negotiating with Kim they each have different goals and those goals do not match. They are in direct opposition to each other. No matter how much Trump loves Kim, he is still, hopefully, trying to screw him. This is not a deal that an amateur like Trump can pull off.

Trump’s job wasn’t easy in Hanoi. He had to convince the leader of a hostile country that he should give up his only protection against us. Considering we have a penchant for killing people like him; ask Saddam or Gadhafi, it was a very high bar and no one really thought Trump would get over it. He didn’t. It was a job for a master negotiator and the only thing Trump is a master at is lying.

Watching the President and his manure carrier, Alex Castellanos try to make a Democratic representative, who is barely out of her teens and has ben in office for only a couple of months, representative of the entire Democratic Party because of her silly comments on our policy towards Israel, confirmed exactly what is wrong with Sunday morning shows. I refer to the host, Martha Raddatz, and the panel demurring to Castellanos seniority and not attacking his ridiculous position in which he equates the importance of an inexperienced young woman to that of the President when comparing each person’s stupid moves and their importance.

The fact is, no matter how inappropriate Rep Ilhan Omar’s comments were, they came from a legitimate place of discussion. I have been a long time Israel backer.  My support of that heroic nation reaches all the way back to post WWII when the country was created. That doesn’t mean that I am blind to the problems Israel has created or handled badly up to and including their current treatment of Palestinians. Seeing those problems and pointing them out does not make me an anti-Semite. Nor does it make Omar one.

How the discussion is conducted, however, is quite another thing. If the discussion is powdered with pejoratives, tropes and similar trash, it becomes nothing, so much, as a Trump attack on minorities or his political opponents. It is no longer a discussion of policy but an attack on the subject of the discussion.

Is this what Omar did? Maybe. Maybe not! Regardless of the basis of her attack, it appears that Omar’s discourse was sprinkled with the kind of language that appears only in the speeches of Donald Trump and as such is easily attacked for its inappropriate nature. Of course Omar is in her twenties and Trump is 72, an age where it would be hoped he had learned something. Unfortunately he has learned nothing. We can still hold out hope for Omar.

But it is outlandish bullshit when the likes of Castellanos and especially Liz Cheney, daughter of the most evil man ever in American politics, talk about anti-Semitism as though they weren’t guilty of doing the same thing to every minority extant in the world. That they willingly support and extol the false glories of the nation’s Racist in Chief, and still have the consummate nerve to talk about anyone exhibiting bigotry against anyone is nauseating and only illustrates that they have no interest in truth or even the lowest standard of human behavior. They are a stain on the fabric that is the United States of America.
