Funny that Trump should mention Epstein’s fascination with young girls. Wasn’t it Trump himself that used to hang around the dressing rooms of the Miss Teenage America?
In typical Trump fashion, now that billionaire pervert, Jeffrey Epstein, is under attack, the Fat Liar in the White House has abandoned him, claiming he hardly knew him and wasn’t a fan. But these denials of friendship are just so much baloney as evidenced by the “Calendar Girls” party that he and Epstein threw for themselves at Mar-a-Largo with a coterie of youngish girls as the only other attendees.
But is any of this important to the national political scene? As a nation we have chosen to ignore the sexual history of presidents for the last 80 years and probably way before. Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower both had mistresses; Jack Kennedy and Bill Clinton had reps that they would nail anything that moved. Of course none of them had credible accusations of rape against them as does Trump and none of them were accused of being pedophiles.
Pedophiles don’t seem to bother Trump. In fact he appears to be attracted to them as evidenced by his support of Dan Blankenship of West Virginia and Roy Moore of Alabama, both of whom accumulated accusations of pedophilia. But who wants to split hairs, especially when Trump has so much else abnormal and perverted on his ledger that this is only one more count among many that would, in normal times, put him out of the White House and into a cell.
It seems incredible but after less than three years in office, Trump has violated so many laws, constitutional edicts and points of moral and human behavior that it would take more space than is allocated to this article just to list them all in detail.
Every time he violates some normally acceptable human stricture he sends out waves of bad vibes that involve and stain unlimited others. In league with the Epstein mess it is Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, who was the Deputy Attorney General of Florida when the first Epstein trial took place almost ten years ago that has now been forced out of office. The sweetheart deal engineered by Acosta that left Epstein free to pursue his perverted desires, except on Wednesday nights, has come back to haunt him. How did such a thing happen? Do you have to ask? We’re talking about a billionaire friend of Donald Trump. Trump was a powerful political force in south Florida at the time. Who knows how much money changed hands? Who knows what promises were made? What we do know is; Acosta, a man with no background in labor relations and no affinity for the labor movement, somehow became Secretary of Labor in Trump’s cabinet.
And speaking of Trump’s cabinet, is there anyone left who hasn’t been fired or indicted?
Actually there is. Betsy DeVos, the justly maligned daughter of a major Trump contributor continues to do her best to annihilate our educational system, while Ben Carson, HUD Secretary continues to blunder his way to the complete destruction of all our hard fought urban development policies.
Every time I attack Carson for being an idiot, someone points out that he was a pediatric Neurosurgeon before he became a politician yet he presents himself as the least informed of the bunch of idiots and thieves that infect the Cabinet. He is just another Trumpian disaster.

On the other side of the coin we have Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her newly elected band of more vocal but less informed sisters known affectionately as “The Squad.”
“The Squad” is made up of Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Ilhan Omar (MN), Ayanna Pressley (MA) and Rashida Tlaib (MI) a bunch so new to the national scene they haven’t even made it into spellcheck yet. These are all smart, able and functional young women but they all got where they are now by means of heavily Democratic districts, so none have to worry about keeping a Republican at bay in 2020.
Like most eager and inspired young people they feel immortal and think they have all the answers. But they are still freshmen and have a lot to learn. Ocasio-Cortez found that out when she cost NYC a huge boost in employment and eventually in corporate taxes when she opened her mouth too wide and torpedoed the pending Amazon deal. But there was nothing abnormal about that or the actions of the whole group except a missing sense of understanding your place in the universe.
These women are trying to push much needed programs into reality but what they have to understand is that there is a bigger picture and Nancy Pelosi sees it and is manipulating it.
For example; we all want universal healthcare but in order to achieve that goal, we may have to first accept a combo plan that lets the American public see for themselves that insurance companies are scamming them and that Medicare for all is better; for them, for their families and for the country. So maybe we give them a meal of both and let them see which is easier to digest.
What “The Squad” needs to learn first is how to keep their mouths shut, even when it hurts! There is a universal goal to be attained and it doesn’t make it easier to reach when you are sabotaging yourself and other allies by running off at the mouth. Yes, we know that the four want to achieve certain goals but it doesn’t help them to be splintering the party when the achievement of those goals depends on party unity. The main goal is to beat Trump and McConnell and take back the White House and Senate. Anything that slows that march down or veers it off track has to be avoided no matter how much it slows personal goals. Ocasio-Cortez and her frenetic associates must understand this or they have to go. Nothing must interfere with the attack on Trump and his degenerate cohorts.

There has been a great deal of noise made about the threatened ICE raids in various cities, mostly with Democratic mayors, across the country. I don’t know about you but I’m more than a little leery about the whole thing. I mean, what kind of idiot plans a raid and then announces that it is going to happen at a specific time and date so the targets of the raid can get away before it happens?
I know Trump is stupid enough to do that but he’s also crafty and possessed of enough animal cunning to set up the whole thing as simply a press stunt. Trump’s intention is to terrify the immigrants that he hates and make their lives more miserable. This is an imitation of a man, a pig without human compassion and with no sense of humanity. Trump is content to be a pig as long as he’s the biggest pig, then nothing else matters. His bigotry and racism have led him to seek out the lowest, least human among us and make them his base.
It doesn’t help when someone like Congress- woman Ilhan Omar calls for the abolition of ICE. One would think Omar was intelligent enough to understand that ICE is just a tool and one doesn’t stop the problem by taking away the tool, which can easily be replaced. One does it by securing the hand that holds the tool. We need ICE for any number of real border security jobs and if Omar doesn’t understand that she shouldn’t have the job she has.
Trump’s raids aren’t aimed at arresting criminals, as he likes to claim. He is simply harassing the poorest among us that are least able to defend themselves. Once again he is being the bully. Like all bullies he needs someone to stand up and punch him in the nose. Unfortunately no one in Washington has the stones to do it. Maybe one of the Democratic women will get the chance to try. I would give serious money to see it.
