The President of the United Sates set out this week to prove that he’s mad as a hatter. And it worked! The string of absurdities that vomited out of his mouth would put almost anyone else in custody with a staff of serious shrinks running tests, but with Trump it’s nothing out of the ordinary. Yeah, we’re so used to this madman babbling like an insane drunk that we hardly react to it.
But there are those that don’t take this erratic behavior as “just more Trump.” They are thumping the, “he’s not a well man,” drum. Guy’s, he never was a well man. Sure it’s getting worse but that’s nothing new. The real problem is that there is no longer a keeper in the White House. He has no trusted advisors the way all his predecessors did. Of course that’s completely his own fault because he was too lazy and too self involved to appoint those advisors in the first place and then he was too stupid and too lazy to listen to the few that somehow managed to slip past the barricades of his ego. Now, even those few smart people have either fled or been fired so all the grownups have left the room and we are stuck with the children and the suck-ups.
On the other hand there is a comment like the one from a pundit on Decision White House, who pointed out that he’s more relieved when he sees Trump shouting nonsense in front of Marine One because it means, for that moment, at least, he isn’t governing.
But there is a lot of evidence building up that Trump is not a well man. The other day, at one of his helicopter press conferences, he suggested that he wouldn’t leave the White house after his second term but might stay ten or 13 years more, thus proving that not only was he out of his mind but that he can’t do simple math. Then this week he began blathering about his being “The Chosen One.”
It’s not that he wasn’t crazy before. He always lied and acted like an animal. It’s just that he’s raising the level past flood alert. In the beginning of his administration, despite the fact that he didn’t appoint a quarter of the people we need to run a functional government, there were at least a few professionals who tried to advise him or control his worst tendencies. Most of those have left in disgust or disgrace and we are left with a skeleton crew of defectives that do nothing but nod their heads in agreement with any insane statement or ludicrous decision he makes.
Mick Mulvaney, now the Acting Chief of Staff, has admitted that all he does is “let Trump be Trump.” What the hell does that do to America? We still have a year and a half left in which we have to fend off the stupidity of this mad asshole. The damage he can do to the nation in that time is terrifying.
Hard as it is to believe, this madman before heading to the G7 announced that he wants Russia back in because the only reason they left was that Putin outsmarted Obama and Obama wanted him out. You can’t make this shit up. Actually, Russia was kicked out of the G7 because they invaded Crimea and Ukraine and started shooting down commercial airliners. All that stuff actually happened, but there’s no way anyone would expect Trump to have any knowledge of any of those events because they happened in reality and not in his head.
This week he threatened to release thousands of ISIS prisoners that we are holding into Europe if the European nations don’t take them into their prisons, ostensibly because they are costing us too much to feed and house. Really? We’re threatening to release terrorists into our ally’s nations if they don’t take then from us? Sounds very dangerous, or it would if we actually had any ISIS prisoners. But we don’t, so what the hell is this madman raving about? Ad how do we stop this insane behavior before he does something really dangerous?
His constant lies have already put us in a position of international vulnerability because when no one can believe anything you say, no one will support or follow you.

For the last eighty years, or since we entered WWII, World Leadership has been synonymous with the United States. Today, as the world enters dangerous and confusing times the USA, because of the idiot in the White House, is absent from its role and the world is wandering blindly in the desert.
In Asia, Japan and South Korea are no longer exchanging intelligence leaving both at peril from China. India and Pakistan have come to the brink of war over the fight for Kashmir. In Europe, Britain is on the verge of collapse over Brexit and to our south, the Brazilian rain forest is burning because of that country’s government policy of encouraging farmers and loggers to burn forest to create arable land. It has now gotten out of control creating an ecological disaster of monumental proportions.
nd what is the leader of the free world doing? He’s blabbering about being the King of Israel and the Second Coming of God, before finally just settling on the “Chosen One.” He’s obviously entering the second stage of his God complex. He stands in front of Marine One or chanting crowds of moronic white terrorist groups, and claims that he has brought them the greatest economy in American history while his aides simper in the background hoping that he won’t notice them and end those big paying jobs they are ill-equipped to do.

Tom Steyer doesn’t get his own message. He speaks to getting billionaire money out of government but he’s a billionaire who is using his billions in exactly the same way he’s complaining about others. Sure he has some functional ideas about what’s wrong and how to fix it but so do all the other candidates
We already have one rich guy with no government experience in the Presidency do we really need another one? Steyer has been very successful in earning big amounts of money. I want someone who has been really successful at governing.
The sick Liar in the White House attained the presidency without any knowledge of what it entailed. I’m not saying Steyer would be as useless in office as Trump, but why take a chance? Out of the twenty or so other candidates there are at least ten who would make far better Presidents than Steyer and at least twenty who will be better than Trump.

Republican congressman Steve King, he of the famous incest and rape dialog, held a town hall meeting in Grundy City, Iowa last week. Two people came. Enough said!

Then on Friday as the Dow dropped over 600 points, the madman in the White House ordered American corporations to drop China as a trading partner and bring home their subsidiaries. This moron is elevating the trade war with China without having any idea why or where it might lead.
Austan Goolsbee, Obama’s economic advisor, tells us that this could easily lead to a market crash. Look, when this thing started it was because we had a legitimate beef with China over intellectual property problems. Unfortunately Trump was President and he didn’t understand the problem any more than he understands anything more complicated than his gold toilet. So he started a tariff war instead of forcing China to deal with the real problem, intellectual property theft. Now it’s full blown name calling and everybody is going to lose, but the moron in the White House still doesn’t get it so he waves the flag and announces an escalation in the problems for which he is already responsible.
In a real war someone usually wins by gaining territory but the win here isn’t even being addressed. No one is telling China to stop stealing our patents and copyrights. Trump hasn’t even addressed this. Instead he waves tariffs and it crushes our farmers, our manufacturers and our consumers. That only makes sense to Trump, who isn’t dealing with a full deck anyhow.
So why is Trump doing his? He has everything to lose and nothing to gain. If he pushes ahead and causes this trade war it will cause a crash, and any small chance he had to gain re-election will be gone forever. Xi doesn’t have to face re-election so he can survive the crash that will result, even in China. Trump can’t. Right now he is very busy drawing a knife across his jugular.

And on a final note the President momentarily found his humanity this week when he reacted to the illness of Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg with appropriate good wishes. Normally one would not mention something like this but it came as a definite shock to discover that Trump, even if they aren’t his own words, could fake such an appropriate reaction to anything that did not serve his own interests.
