Governor DeSantis of Florida has completely lost his mind. This week he sent storm troopers to raid apartment houses in Florida, arresting anyone who didn’t have finalized work papers or green cards. This is ridiculous.  These were all working people who were making salaries on which they supported families. They had all applied for permanent papers but the bureaucracy in Florida is too non-functional to be able to get their applications processed in any kind of time frame that works. The result of these raids is not just to separate families but also to wreak havoc on small businesses that have been relying on those workers. We know of a number of construction type businesses that have been stripped of their workers, are now unable to complete contracts and are in danger of failing. Is this how DeSantis helps the business community of his state? This is a clown that wants to be President but clearly doesn’t know how to run a state let alone a country. Is this the way this pathetic moron will run the nation’s business If he hits the White House?

Who has he helped by this unbelievably stupid move? These people are not sneaking across the border, they are already here and working; helping small businesses to thrive. It’ clear that DeSantis is too stupid to see this, or to understand the damage he is doing to businesses that support his state. Yes, the GOP should be looking for an alternative to Trump,but no, DeSantis isn’t it.

Daniel Penny, the ex-marine that went to the defense of a subway car full of riders when Jordan Neely appeared to threaten them, was arrested today. That should teach you about trying to help people.

It has been established that Neely was suffering from mental health problems. Lawyer Donte Mills tells us that, even as he demands punishment for Daniel Penny. But Penny didn’t seek out Neely. Neely pushed himself into Penny’s face and those of a car full of frightened subway riders. Penny did what we always expect our heroes to do and now he’s being castigated for it. Yes, what happened to Neely was terrible. but Penny isn’t the bad guy here. He did what we all should do, protect those who cannot protect themselves. There was a time when he should have stopped but the adrenaline rush that happens in such situations does not usually lead to reasonable reaction.

 It appears that the general public feels much as I do on this when one considers the money raised to defend this young man.

John Durham proved this week that the Right can’t get out of its own way. After a four year multi-million investigation of the FBI, aimed at justifying Trump’s repeated accusations that they were trying to get him, Durham came up with squat.

On the other hand, the Mueller report, while failing to indict, established that the Trump administration was involved with Russian intelligence, quite possibly while Trump was flirting with Putin, and the Senate intelligence committee found evidence that his relationship with Russia was a direct threat to the U.S.

Saw a man named Bill Gates this weekend, an election official from Arizona, a Republican who has gone through hell since Trump lost the 2020 election. He and his fellow election officials have been attacked by Trumpian Republicans for enforcing the truth about the election results they oversaw. Their lives have been threatened, and their families exposed to danger for doing the right thing because stupid or dishonest Trump backers have no respect for anything as mundane as reality. The vile super Rights, have acted in a criminal manner toward Gates and his fellow workers because they are too lacking in character to accept their loss and move on to the next battle. Gates and his fellow officials did the right thing. It’s been proven in every courtroom in which it’s been examined. It’s even been proven by Trump chosen judges, who despite their appointer have not lost their integrity.

Let’s look at it from a different point of view. These pathetic clowns scream that the elections were rigged. The Trump camp and their followers have lost every election since the Presidential election of 2016. Were they all rigged? If they were, and the Democrats were good enough to rig every election, especially the ones when Trump was in charge, don’t you think you had better get rid of all those GOP failures who have let the Democrats get away with all this rigging and try a new group who might be smart enough to stop it? Or do you just like losing elections so you can cry foul when you do?

All hail the border philosophy of Donald Trump. “When you tell them, if you come, we’re going to break up your family, they don’t come.”

We are hearing the voice of a monster, a perpetrator of crimes against humanity. We accuse Putin of being a war criminal for bombing civilians. Do you think that given the opportunity; Trump wouldn’t bomb those immigrant communities along the border? He actually did break up families, taking children from their mothers, and some of those children have still not been returned to their families five or six years later.

This is a degenerate sociopath that some in this country still want to see in the White House. Why? What is wrong with those people? This is a sub-human who actually caused this kind of inhuman act to be perpetrated on mothers and their children. But we are hindered from punishing our criminal government officials by a medieval mindset, that flows from the concept of the perfection of the monarchy. “The king can do no wrong,” Goes the liturgy that has allowed almost no tethers on our government officials even when they actually do wrong. The king is exempt simply because he is the King.

That’s where we are with our control of the highest offices in our government. Nixon got away with it by resigning and letting the government off the hook. He never went to jail, and it looks very much like Trump might not either, simply because our founders believed incorrectly that if you elected someone, they had to be good. The same thing goes for the Supreme Court where there are no rules about proper, equitable conduct.

Congress is even worse. There are now and have almost always been, more crooks and degenerates in congress than there are in our jails. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, George Santos, Paul Gossar, Jim Jordan, and Ted Cruz. A list that would make any prison in the world cringe at its inability to match their degeneracy.

It’s very simple. We won’t have good government as long as we don’t have good people in government. If you elect a crook just because he agrees with you on one point that is in contention, you will just get a crook who agrees with you on one thing and is trying to steal everything else.
