Bits & pieces #145

Trump bellows about law and order but he’s the president. Isn’t it his job to supply law & order? He tells us that he will be the law and order president and Joe Biden won’t but he’s the president so how come if he’s the president he hasn’t, according to his own bullshit, been able to maintain law and order and why should we think he’d do a better job if he were re-elected?

Jonathan Karl interviewed Eric Trump on This Week. It was hilarious. It’s obvious that the apple hasn’t fallen far from the polluted tree. Eric acted like a raving maniac, babbling incoherently and lying in every statement. If you thought that Donald acted like a drugged  baboon at he debates, the brat made him look almost sane.

I don’t understand why Joe Biden won’t give a clear answer to the question about packing the Supreme Court. All he has to say is that the Court is fine right now but that he may have to counter immoral, hypercritical moves by Moscow Mitch McConnell in the future.

Brit Hume said flat out this Sunday that Joe Biden is senile. Has he looked at the President?

Al Gore uses the parable of Solomon and the two mothers to point up who is better equipped to be the next president of this country. I kept seeing this picture of McConnell holding a baby and Barr holding a huge scimitar while Trump screams, “Cut it up!”

Mike Lee who tested positive for the Coronavirus appeared at the hearing without a mask.  It’s obvious that Lee has about as much regard for his fellow human beings as does Trump.

Steve Mnuchin and Mark Meadows are taking the stance that, before they do any more negotiations on a corona relief bill, congress must release $130 billion that has not been spent from the last relief bill. This is money that was supposed to go to small businesses, but the administration, because they are so incompetent or maybe because they were looking to hold onto it until they could give it to their rich friends, never released it.

Now Mnuchin and Meadows want that money released to the administration, which means that after deliberately not paying out the money, the White House wants to spend it on big corporations. Glad to see that Trump is still cleaning up the swamp.

Candace Owens a big Trump supporter flew a large group of minorities into Washington last week for a rally at the White House. It seems she paid for all transportation, gave each of the people a little bonus, bought uniforms, paid for food and hotels just so Trump could have a group of minorities to sell on the joys of being a Republican. I guess after two weeks in quarantine and no one wearing a MAGA hat the monster ego was on the brink of collapse.

Josh Hawley’s opening speech in the Barrett hearings was very necessary but I don’t think any person of good conscience will object to Barrett’s being a Catholic because that is a religion. It’s her membership in a secret cult like People of Praise that’s the problem. That is quite another thing.

It always makes me just a tad nauseous when I listen to Senior Advisor to the Trump campaign, Jason Miller, the President’s liar in residence who tells us that he and his entire family have tested negative, that they are masking and social distancing and doing everything that the CDC has suggested. Really? This is a clown who just a week or so ago was busy telling us how the President had everything under control and how we had beaten the pandemic and should be opening all the schools and businesses in the country so that we can get the crashing economy under control. It seems the White House had decided that it needed more votes than it looked like it was going to get. Funny how a little shot of a deadly disease can change your outlook on a pandemic.

Miller went on to tell us how President Trump told him how he is personally going to defeat this virus and get the country back on its feet. Did he actually say that from his bed at Walter Reed? Finally Miller goes on to attack Biden for wearing his mask. Really? So Jason and his family are wearing masks but Biden shouldn’t? It definitely appears that Jason has been listening to Trumpian logic again.

Biden’s Deputy Campaign Manager Kate Bennington is smart, articulate and attractive. I’d love to see a debate between her and Steve Miller or Bill Stepien. I would like to have seen her take on Brad Pascale but he’s busy banging his head against a padded wall. She sells her product as well as it can be sold, appealing to intelligent people’s sense of goodness and fair play while never losing the logical thrust of what she’s saying.  She tells the truth and that alone should be enough to destroy any of the administration hacks with

which she may come in contention.

The question keeps coming up about the Republican’s willingness to ignore the pandemic just so they can concentrate on the election and the Supreme Court. McConnell doesn’t care how many Senate members he exposes to the virus just so he can get Amy Coney Barrett confirmed before the Democrats take over the Senate.

Steve Miller is the mind behind much of what Donald Trump says. Miller writes most of the Liar in the White House’s speeches.  He’s the mind responsible for the concept of abandoning the millions of Americans who have been left behind to fight the virus or suffer through it practically on their own. And of course now we find that Steve has tested positive for the virus. Isn’t that God’s way of saying BOOGA! BOOGA!

After the debate in which he made a complete ass of himself, Trump has to show voters that he has some plan for the future that will help drag America out of the morass into which his current lack of planning has put it. He has to convince America that he has somehow figured out how to fix all the mistakes he has made in the last 4 years. It seems like an impossible task for a man who doesn’t recognize any fact of his failure.  This clown thinks he’s done a great job. He gives himself an “A”. For what, asshole?

Lonnie Chen said recently that Trump should focus on the economy because that is still, despite his many failures, his strongest point. Trump’s problem is, he really doesn’t know anything about the economy. He thinks that the stock market is the whole economy. Like everything else Trump says, it’s not true. He just doesn’t understand why. He doesn’t get that all the people who are out of jobs and all the people who have lost businesses because of his handling of the pandemic, used to be part of the economy.
