Kellyanne Conway was on Bill Maher’s show last weekend. She hasn’t changed a bit. She is still a truth twisting election denier who thinks Trump won in 2020 and should win in 2024. Unfortunately, the other guest on the show was a non-entity who wrote a book that no one has read. He babbled incessantly about nothing and was unable to link two cogent thoughts together. Meanwhile Kellyanne, who is smart and quick as a bullet, was able to disseminate her bullshit, without opposition. Maher tried to step in a few times with facts, but facts are non-existent in Kellyanne’s world. There are only cleverly put together arguments that enhance whatever cause she is promoting at that particular moment. Let’s not forget that it was Kellyanne Conway who created the term “Alternative Facts.”
Friday she was using those “Facts” to get Trump elected and she showed that she is willing to lie, cheat, steal and drown babies to get her way. She managed to make a big deal out of the economy, while keeping what little opposition she encountered from mentioning that it was Trump’s tariffs, and his giveaways during COVID that got inflation started.

NYC had big bicycle celebrations last weekend. A huge bike ride with thousands of bikers enjoying 40 miles of car-free biking was held. So was the blessing of the bikes at St. John the Divine church. Now if only they could teach the bikers to stop at red lights, go the right way on one-way streets and stay off the sidewalks, the rest of us might have a fighting chance at survival.

ABC had another poll last week. Now, we must remember that polls this far out from elections are rarely significant, but this one showed Trump up in three important areas and tied with Biden in another. It started with immigration and went on to the economy and crime and safety. I’m not even going to touch the economy because all the numbers are there and if certain voters don’t want to pay attention, they may well have to live with the results of their stupidity in the coming years. Immigration completely depends on your view of how we should treat other human beings that are trying to better their lives. If you think its okay to rip babies from their mother’s arms then, yes you should vote for Trump because he’s the guy who ordered that when he was in charge.
Crime and safety. Well, nobody knows more about being a criminal than Trump, so I guess we’ll have to give him that one.
And then there’s protecting democracy, the one in which they are tied. Really? There are people out there who think that Trump is as strong as Biden in protecting Democracy? The guy who led the insurgency to start a coup when he lost an election? I don’t get this one at all.
Another poll has Biden leading by only 5% in healthcare. Healthcare! When Trump was in office, he tried to take it away from all the people who needed it most and Biden restored it as best he could when he took over. Doesn’t that count for anything?
Then I look at the abortion number which has Biden leading by a measly 12% while Trump is bragging that he set up the Supreme Court to get rid of Roe. And he only trails by 12%. It should be 99%.
This is the wackiest poll I have seen yet. It is impossible for these results to be accurate. Or maybe we have a whole nation on drugs.

Senator Tom Cotton, (R) Arkansas had a shout out on This Week, violently attacking the demonstrators who have created chaos on college campuses all across the country. I rarely agree with Cotton, but in this case, he is dead right. Our college administrations have failed miserably in controlling their fiefdoms.
Yes, colleges are a place for free speech and demonstrations, but not violent ones and not ones that promote antisemitism or any kind of hate speech.
Cotton should have left it there and gotten off while he was ahead. Instead, he stayed and filled the air with Trumpian lies and nonsensical vitriol aimed at trying to make the ex-president look like anything but the criminal that he is.

White House correspondent Asma Khalid was on the panel on This Week wearing a head scarf that indicates her strong belief in the dictates of the Muslim religion. She has every right to wear the Hajib, but this is an educated woman with a significant position in the media who advertises her belief in a religion that holds her as a second-class citizen, denies her right to equality with its male members, and diminishes her worth as a human being because of her gender. All that, and she expects us to take her and her opinions seriously, despite the fact that she follows a religion whose standards hold her opinions to be of little value. I can understand her wanting to retain certain aspects of her religion that bring value to her life, but wearing a symbol of her submission on TV just devalues her position and those of all female Muslim media correspondents.
Rania al Abdullah, Queen of Jordan, and an incredibly intelligent speaker appeared on another show Sunday and spoke with great insight on the moral responsibilities of all parties in the Middle East conflict. She did it without waving a Muslim flag even though she is Queen of the most accomplished of all Muslim countries. She is a great example for all the world.

Kristi Noem, Governor of South Dakota was on Face the Nation, talking about all her world travels and anything else to draw attention from the lie that she met with Kim Jong-Un, which she printed and is now deleting from her book. She travels a lot and so would anyone else, that lives in South Dakota. Noem is a fool to appear on national TV promoting this book with all its problems, not the least of which is telling about killing a dog that she was not able to train, and a goat because she felt like it.
She’d be the perfect VP candidate for Trump, she thinks just like him.

Kristin Welker just can’t cut it. Yes, Tim Scott is an asshole, but that’s no reason to ask him the same question over and over when he clearly isn’t going to answer it truthfully. This clown wants to be VP. He’s not going to say anything that will jeopardize that endeavor. Welker asked him a half dozen times for a yes or no answer to the question, “would he accept the results of the 2024 election,” and got exactly nowhere. So, ask once, point out that he didn’t have the stones to answer truthfully, take it as a NO, and get on with the rest of the show. Welker doesn’t do that…ever. She just isn’t up to hosting a show of this significance.
