Donald Trump is a sociopath and a clown but there are still voters who would choose him in the next election. I know it’s hard to believe. After all, this is the same clown that rejected NATO and sided with Vladimir Putin. Imagine where we would be now if he had succeeded in quitting NATO when he wanted to?
Despite all that has happened in Ukraine, he still believes, despite all evidence to the contrary, that he was right, simply because he always thinks he’s right, no matter how wrong he usually is.
Does anyone doubt that if he were President now, he would be backing Putin? It makes you wonder if the Kremlin really does have film of him being pissed on by Russian whores.
I know the level heads tell us to accept those we disagree with for the sake of national harmony but it’s regressive to accept the lies and nonsense vomited out by anyone who sees anything laudable in Donald Trump.

The Latino vote is becoming more and more important as their numbers grow and their interest in politics increases.
The big question is, why are so many of them voting Republican? Democrats still hold a wide advantage, but the GOP is picking up ground. Why? No politician in recent memory has been more hostile to Latinos than Donald Trump. He did everything he could to keep them out of the country, yet there is still a significant number of Republican Latinos that back Trump. The biggest advantage for the GOP comes from Florida where there is a dominent Latino population from Cuba that is still worried about the Communist threat; not realizing that the biggest threat to this country is another four years of incompetent, non-functional, criminal governance by Trump and his feckless henchmen.
The Cuban contingent is still carrying a torch for Fulgencio Batista, a serious crook who partnered with the American mob and stole from the people of Cuba with both hands. I am assuming that this affection for Batista comes from the fact that the Cuban exiles who fled to the shores of Florida made up a good percentage of his henchmen.
While Castro was not exactly good for Cuba, he didn’t steal directly from the people the way Batista did.

The American public is just brute stupid. 77% of them support the current Biden enforced ban on Russian oil and yet 70% disapprove of his handling of the gas situation here. Can the people who vote in these polls possibly not understand that gas prices are, at least in large part. due to Biden’s enforcing of the Russian ban?
I know that when they stopped teaching civics in school Americans stopped knowing anything about government and started letting ignorant assholes like Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lindsay Graham and a long list of GOP loudmouths make all the decisions for them.
To be fair, there is very little the President can do about the price of oil and Biden isn’t even doing that. What he can and should do is declare a national emergency and freeze the prices of all fossil fuels. No; it’s not fair, but the oil industry has never played fair. They’ve made monstrous profits by poisoning the world and now they are about to poison the universe.
And not satisfied with killing all
of mankind, they also want to make a huge profit on it.
Our energy supply must be safe, secure, and affordable or our economy will suffer. Fossil fuel will never be safe. That was proven long before it started to poison the atmosphere. Nuclear can be made safe if we can take private ownership out of the equation. Our rotting nuclear facilities are quite simply the result of corporate greed. Nuclear is as safe, clean, and cheap as any energy source available today, but the only way to keep it safe is to maintain it properly and that costs money, money that private ownership doesn’t want to spend because it cuts into the bottom line. So nuclear is no longer safe. Fission, which is still at least five years away, along with solar and wind, will eventually be the answer, but not until they can expand enough to handle the need we have to take the rest of power out of private hands and for the benefit of humanity, have it run by government.

Because the voters gave the President a House and Senate with a Democratic majority in 2020, Biden was able to pass more people friendly bills than any government since FDR.
Briefly it looks like this:
The Build Back better or Inflation Reduction Act
$368 billion for climate change.
$451 billion from tax reforms.
Medicare given the Power to Re-Negotiate drug prices.
Affordable Care Act subsidies extended.
And $300 billion towards deficit reduction.
It’s a very forward thinking and very expensive list of legislation and one on which the Democrats are counting to help them win the 2022 mid-term.
But the GOP, never willing to take an honest look at anything, but especially legislation that costs money, has blown its cork and is screaming bloody murder at the cost of all this functional legislation.
They don’t care how many lives it saves, how many sick people get to afford the drugs they desperately need, or whether we ever get a shot at stopping the destruction of the planet. All the GOP cares about or has ever cared about, is helping he rich get richer and saving corporate taxes. In that vein they have launched a campaign against all the legislation that they hate and wish they had the numbers to block, because they are just too non-functional to ever pass anything like them.
“It’s too expensive. The Liberals are throwing away your hard-earned money. There are no provisions to raise the money to pay for them!”
And that’s where the hammer comes down on the GOP’s tongue because the Dems have thought long and hard about ways to raise the money for the programs they like and are determined to promote. How will they pay for them? Take a look!
Raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%…………………………………$727 Billion
Stop heirs of billionaires from avoiding inheritance taxes…………………$430 Billion
Make the rich pay a two-cent tax on wealth over $50 million……….$3 Trillion
Stop wealthy tax cheats………$ 1Trillion
End the Trump tax breaks for corporations that steal jobs and ship them overseas…………………….$700 Billion
That would give the government an additional five trillion, eight hundred fifty-seven billion to play with, a not insignificant sum and one that will more than pays off any debts that the Biden legislation might run up. It really refutes all GOP objection to this legislation that will save lives, jobs, and health, and make many people very happy.
But there’s one very important hitch to the whole program. The GOP can’t win anything in November. If they take back the House or Senate, they will block all the good legislation that will raise money to offset the costs of the great legislation they have already passed, and that would be a disaster, not so much for the Democrats but for all the American people.
