Rick Perry, Governor of one of the most backward states in the nation was adamant the other night, on the Republican debate, about the fact that he wanted to kill Obamacare. Seems like he already has in Texas.
But Texas and places like it are the reason Obamacare exists. It was places like Texas with its abysmal healthcare dynamics that drove Obama to push for a national healthcare bill that would help the 25% of Texans, the highest rate in the nation, who have no healthcare.
Perry put on quite a show at the debate, doing everything but shooting his dog to prove what a simplistic, brain dead, brute he really is. What is this affinity Texas has for stupid governors? Is it because they want their politicians to be easily controlled by the mega-ranchers and oil barons who actually run the state?
Social Security is a Ponzi scheme? Who’d-a-thought this clown would be dumb enough to repeat a statement like that, let alone try to defend it. And, of course, his point being indefensible he could come up with no concept of how to defend it. He repeated it ad-nauseam but he was completely unable to come up with even one plausible sentence to back up his point, proving that he’s too stupid to understand and too stubborn to learn.
Perry had probably gotten his information from Jim DeMint another Republican whose lips haven’t tasted the truth since his mother whelped him. DeMint states that Social Security is bankrupt. He is obviously a student of Joseph Goebbels and the big lie theory. Social Security is not bankrupt and contrary to the lies propagated by the Right and even picked up by some of the dumber Democrats it isn’t an entitlement. The word entitlement, indicates something that is given, unearned. This could not be further from the truth when it is applied to Social Security.
Social Security is paid for by the people, from whose salaries it has been deducted, and all the employers who have matched those salary deductions. It isn’t an entitlement, it isn’t charity, it isn’t anything the government or anyone else is giving us and everyone who pays into it should damn well resent the president or any clown from congress saying, hinting, or pussyfooting around the fact that it is our money, being held for us by the government, supposedly in some kind of income producing lock box fund. It has nothing to do with the national debt, unless you consider the fact that the government has somewhat reduced that debt by illegally using Social Security funds to pay for their other indiscretions.
So any clown, dimwit, misguided office seeker or paid lobbyist who says that Social Security is an entitlement needs to learn how to read, shut his lying mouth and find a way to earn an honest living but he or she should, sure in hell, stop lying about the situation with Social Security which is just fine right now, and would be much better, if those in government learned to stop stealing from it.
Perry, along with incoherent Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul are giving the Republicans something to be really ashamed of. Who accepts this kind of ignorance among their party’s possibilities for a president? Didn’t these people learn anything about the dangers of ignorance with Bush? People who hate intelligence, people who are proud of being stupid are the most dangerous, destructive animals on earth.
Just to prove that he’s not only ignorant but also dishonest, Perry has made a huge deal about wanting smaller government. What he doesn’t mention is that it is big government that has sustained him all his life. As a child it was thousands of dollars in crop subsidies that supported his family of cotton farmers. Perry himself has received as much as $80,000.00 in farm payments. Do you really want to give it back, Rick? The government financed his college education at Texas A&M, and when he graduated he spent four years collecting a government salary as an Air Force transport pilot. But all that was just small change. In 1984 he started in on the serious government money as a state rep, commissioner, Lt. Gov and Gov. All of which have paid serious salaries as well as healthcare, pensions, a luxury home and lots of aides to pick up after him. What does all this mean? Only that Perry is a government money junkie and when he tells you that he’s against big government he only means he’s against it for you, cause without it he would most probably be on the balls of his lying ass.
The most telling point, about both Perry and the simplistic morons who were in the debate audience came when he was asked how he felt about the 234 executions he had presided over as head executioner of the killingest state in the union. The idiots applauded that fact, telling the rest of us how dangerous even the thought of a Teabagger candidate getting in office would be. I wonder how many of those who applauded know about the man currently on death row who would be coming up for a retrial except for the fact that Perry replaced three of the four judges who would rule on the retrial plea with hardliners who voted against it. Guess the Hanging Governor wants to keep his record pure.
Take a look at Nancy Levey’s column in the 9/9/11, Los Angeles Times for a listing of what an ignorant Governor acting in a stupid manner can do to a state’s healthcare program. Texas may be really great at getting people to work at less than minimum wage jobs but they are last in the country in education, last in healthcare and next to last in air pollution. Texas is the only place in the country where infant mortality is raising and it has the fastest rising insurance premiums in the land, making insurance less affordable in Texas than in any state in the union except Mississippi.
The curse of Bush, followed by the mega curse of Perry has put Texas on the fast track to third world acceptance. Let’s not let it slither into the White House and ruin the rest of the land.
