Last week, a former FBI analyst was sentenced to three years and four months in jail for taking secret documents home to her apartment and keeping them. It is a crime eerily similar to that of Donald Trump, except that the documents he took were Top Secret and hers were just secret.
There is also the fact that hers were fairly safe in her apartment and his were constantly moving around the preemies at Mar-a-Lago where they were available to anyone who might stumble over them in the public rooms in which they landed. Can we just sentence him to four years now and get it over with?

Caught a glimpse of Adam Schiff interrogating former investigator John Durham about his involvement in the FBI investigation of the collusion between Trump and Russia. “Investigator?” He’s a pathetic moron. He was right in the middle of all that crap, and he can’t put together a rational sentence about any of it. This guy should go to jail for aggravated stupidity. No wonder everything the GOP does crashes and burns. They have organized a work force comprised of nothing but morons.
This clown was supposed to be leading an investigation into collusion between Russia and Trump and claims no knowledge of any of it. If Durham isn’t the dumbest individual in the capitol, he is definitely pushing whoever is in first place. He’s been lying under oath and should be indicted.

I grew up a Republican. My whole family were Republicans. We believed in good conservative government, a balanced budget, certain social programs, low taxes, and pride in our country.
We understood that there were bad Republicans like Joseph McCarthy, but we expected most of our elected officials to be doing the right thing, at least most of the time. What happened to that picture?
Now the elected officials in the House, the GOP stronghold of our current government, are such a conglomeration of fools, thieves, liars, and cheats that I would be ashamed to claim membership in the same party.
Do the names George Santos, Ted Cruz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, James Comer, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, Jim Jordan, and Robert Latta ring any bells? How about it being a gaggle of non-functional stumblebums who, not satisfied with getting nothing done, are out there trying to fuck up the stuff functional people are accomplishing.

YEVGENY PRIGOZHIN, leader of the infamous Wagner Group, led his troops into Russia last weekend threatening a coup over the incompetence of the Russian military. Then he stopped 125 miles from Moscow and made a deal with Putin to pull his troops out and retire to Belarus. What was that all about? The eventual settlement will be anyone’s guess but my money’s on a dead Prigozhin.
One thing everyone knows is that the Wagner Group’s side trip to Moscow didn’t do Putin’s war effort much good.

So, what is this Wagner group that Prigozhin is running? It’s a mercenary army and that means it’s made up of men who are fighting for money not for any national cause. Mercs are nothing new on the military scene. They go all the way back to Xerxes, King of Persia, who used them to invade Greece in 405BC. William the Conqueror used Flemish mercs during the 11th and 12th century civil wars. In fact, mercenaries were used all over the world throughout history.
Switzerland probably has had the most proficient mercenary groups up until the mid-twentieth century. The most easily recognized post WWII are the white mercs of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s that fought in Africa. These included, Bob Denard, Mad Mike Hoare, Rolf Steiner, John Banks, and David Bufkin, none of whom were particularly successful, but a unit of mercenary flyers known as the Flying Tigers, who fought for Chang Kai-Shek, against the Japanese in the Sino-Chinese War, are probably the most famous.
Blackwater USA, led by right-wing Republican Erik Prince was an outgrowth of the US reduction of forces during the Iraq war and the subsequent occupation of Afghanistan. In fact, most of the Blackwater people were employed as security for high value members of the Afghan political caste as well as our officers. Blackwater still exists, notably in India.
Wagner is the Russian equivalent of Blackwater,
formed to fight in Africa and later moved to Syria by Putin. Their millionaire leader brought them first to Ukraine and now to Russia. Like all merc groups throughout history they are big time bad news and have almost always outlived their welcome wherever they have gone.

Chris Christie got booed last weekend by a crowd of Trump loving idiots. He was trying to show them what an incompetent loser their candidate was, and they didn’t like it. They will have to, at least, accept it if they don’t want to lose another election, because every time Trump goes on the air, he further demolishes his ability to win anything. If he isn’t admitting to another crime, he’s waving a flag for another stupid, destructive, policy. It’s as if he’s being paid by the opposing candidates to keep talking. And yet there is still a brain-dead percentage of the GOP base that follows him no matter how illogical or how insane his dialogue.

Everybody who can hold a mic wants to ask Secretary of State, Antony Blinken and Mike Turner, head of the House Intelligence Committee, about what’s going on with the Wagner group and Russia. But when they do, they discover that there is nothing to learn. No one in the capitol is saying anything about the attempted coup or if it even was one. Jon Karl and Margaret Brennan got so frustrated they almost choked on their questions. But Blinken and Turner held firm in their admissions of ignorance. It’s all they can do until there are more developments.

In a recent rally Donald “Big Lie” Trump promised a gaggle of the most innocent people in the world (because they believe him) that he would pay the legal fees of those indicted for the 1-6 insurrection. Sure he will. This fat slob doesn’t even pay his own legal bills. His legal bills are being paid by your political contributions to his election fund. So, I guess that means that paying his legal fees, which are certainly going to get higher, is just part of the normal election process. Well, it certainly is when you’re dealing with a crook like Trump. After all, not being a felon is essential to him being President.
What’s amazing is that current polls project him to be within four points of Biden. This reveals one very important truth about the American people. A large percentage of them either know nothing, or care nothing, about the things that motivate those we consider “normal citizens.” The economy, unemployment, abortion, our infrastructure, our foreign policy, and the environment, just don’t count for those who follow Trump. They are motivated simply by his fascist, bigoted, self-promoting presentation of himself as the leader that can solve their problems. This despite his inability to do anything he promised while he was president. He was a dismal failure when given the power to do good, simply because he has no concept of what it takes to do good. His only motivation is to what it takes to benefit Trump and that’s usually bad for the rest of the world.
