So now we know why Donald Trump is the only President in the last half century that hasn’t made his tax returns public. Why wouldn’t he try to mask the fact that over a ten-year period, 1985-1994, he lost $1.7 billion? That’s more money than anyone else in the United States lost in that same period? He was truly America’s biggest loser. During that period his father was making a lot of money, his only losing investments being those he made into his son’s businesses.
In 1987 when he published Art of the Deal, trying to convince us that a man who doesn’t read can write, he lost millions, illustrating clearly that he had no idea what the art of any deal might be. So it seems that Trump voters, who wanted a real businessman to run the country, elected a fake businessman who didn’t know how to run squat. During that ten-year period he lost over a billion bucks in a number of bankruptcies. Now he is attacking the NY Times story that revealed all this as “fake news.” He is a fake President.
It’s notable that Trump, who lived through this period in the lifestyle of a billionaire, lost so much money on paper that he paid no taxes in most years. This is only part of the reason that during his campaign not one single American bank would loan him a dime. Only Deutsche Bank came on board and the suspicion was, those transactions were very much entangled in the laundry business.
This is a man who shouted to the skies at his rallies that the system was rigged against the people and he would save them. Yeah, the system was definitely rigged by crooks like him, who flew around on their jumbo jets and paid no taxes while the average guy paid his taxes every April 15th. Trump lied to his believers and now they are paying for believing him.

Mitch McConnell, majority leader of the Senate went on TV the other day with a speech in which he stated that there was no evidence in the Mueller report of the President having obstructed justice. His speech was nothing but flat out lies. The evidence of McConnell’s lies is all there in the report. Mueller supplies at least ten examples of obstruction of justice that would indict any American except, it seems, the President.
McConnell is a disgrace, a slime that will go down in history as the least honest leader of the Senate.

A year or so ago Trump unilaterally, pulled us out of the Iran/Nuclear Treaty. The other signatories stayed in and the Treaty held despite Trump enforcing many new sanctions on the Iranians. The Treaty wasn’t perfect, it allowed the Iranians to continue to cause a lot of trouble in the Middle East but it did give the rest of the world some breathing room on Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons for the next 15 years.
Trump’s precipitous move shortened that period from 15 years to none. It ended a time frame in which we might have been able to come up with some kind of workable solution to Iran’s nuclear ambitions and left us with the same pile of manure with which Trump always leaves us.
Just like with the ACA, just like with tariffs on China, just like with nuclear weapons in North Korea, Trump jumps into the fire without an extinguisher, without any kind of workable plan. It’s probably why his income tax returns show him as the biggest loser in a decade. He’s just not bright enough to be able to plan ahead.
So now the Iranians have announced that they are giving the world 60 days to come up with some alternative plan or they are going back to building their nuclear capacity. The Trump defense structure, led by Mike Pompeo and John Bolton is busy moving our fleet into the gulf just so we can rattle some swords and as usual everyone is proceeding ahead with no plan and war on the horizon.
Truthfully, the threat of Iran actually attacking us in any meaningful way is pretty remote. The real problem is that the countries Trump has aligned himself with in the Middle East, Israel and Saudi Arabia could very well start shooting any minute. They would be doing it with an expectation that we will defend them. Even letting them think that is a huge mistake but Trump and his advisors are plenty dumb enough to make that mistake. Bolton loves wars, as long as he doesn’t have to fight them. He proved that with Iraq. Trump is a big enough coward that he wouldn’t want to do anything that might lead to war but he’s so dumb he might do it accidentally.
It’s the same reason everyone is panicked about Venezuela. Solving the problem down there isn’t beyond the realm of credulity but Trump and his lackeys have shown no problem solving ability whatsoever and the fear is that they will do something so dumb that we can’t take it back; something like Bush/Cheney did in Iraq.
The congress gave Trump the chance to actually step out of a war in Yemen last week and he vetoed the bill, showing the world that he really is too dumb to walk and chew gum.

Despite cries to impeach Trump the Democrats in the House have done everything they reasonably can to avoid that exercise in futility. Yet Trump, in a suicidal, lemming-like rush to the cliff is currently doing everything to force them to impeach him. He apparently thinks that if they do impeach it will make him a martyr in front of the undecided voters and they will flock to the polls to vote for him in 2020.
It’s a possibility. There are a lot of dumb voters out there. They proved that in 2016 and there’s no accounting for stupid but it will also give the Dems a chance to spread all Trump’s crooked moves across the headlines, enabling those that read to get a new view of our criminal in the White House. Trump’s Hitleresque strategy of repeating a lie so often that it sounds like truth can also work for the other side and even the often slow Dems can make something into a fact if they get a chance to repeat it often enough. Say: “Ten proven instances of obstruction of justice.” Now repeat it 100 times. Pretty soon it gets to be a fact even though it already is a fact. The difference is, the dumb guys now believe it.
Trump has been a criminal all his life. Any prosecutor will tell you that with that kind of background most crooks will take the wrong path in any decisive situation at least 99% if the time. That doesn’t mean you can always prove it in a court of law but it means that criminals act like criminals act.
It’s obvious from everything he has done in his life and into his Presidency that Trump has no moral structure with which to support his inclinations to act. Given a right action and a wrong action Trump will always go ahead with the one that benefits him the most. Life being what it s, that decision will usually be the morally indefensible one.

Desperate voices have been raised in the past week, declaring that the actions of the President and the Attorney General have involved us in a constitutional crisis. Actually that’s not accurate. What we are engaged in is constitutional denial. If the Democrats and Republicans were arguing about the legality of some point in the constitution that could lead to a crisis but there is no argument involved. There is simply complete denial by the GOP and the White House of anything that the House is legally requesting.
Since the Democrats took office in January, not one single request for anything by the House has been honored. The government has provided not one slip of paper, or anything else, to any House committee requesting it. No one has cooperated with anything the House is doing. And it isn’t as if the White House is contending the legality of any of these requests, it’s just ignoring them. The Trump administration is saying, “fuck you” to any and every request by the House for information or cooperation on every subject broached.
What that means is, the Trump administration is refusing to abide by the strictures of the law. For all practical purposes they are denying congress the rights expressly laid out for it in the constitution. Trump and his lackeys are saying we run this country and we obey no law but our own. Donald Trump and his fellow criminals have seized control of our government and told us all to go to hell.
Trump has decided to push the envelope and Nancy Pelosi must now retrieve the gauntlet he has thrown down. Despite her desire to avoid it, she must now impeach the President and most likely the Attorney General. It no longer matters whether or not the House can get a conviction from the Senate. What does matters is that Trump is anointing himself a dictator and he must be stopped.
Once the process begins Pelosi and the Democrats can drag it out until the next election, making sure that the GOP led Senate never gets a chance to acquit, but guaranteeing that the American pubic gets a long, comprehensive look at all the dirt this criminal President has dragged the country through and quite possibly gather enough information on Trump’s dealings with the Russians to bring about a charge of treason. This might not stop Trump from continuing his blunders that are destroying the American image and damaging our security but it would certainly slow him down, at least until the Democrats can move against him in the 2020 election.
