Trump the Tragic

Amy Klobachar appeared on This Weekjust after Homeland Security bigwig Ken Cuccinelli, ran the party line on why he thought it was okay to be a human rights violator. The GOP bible on this seems to be; blame it on the other party and fuck the victims.

Klobachar came up with the ultimate explanation of why Donald Trump acts the unacceptable way he does and what he expects to get from such despicable behavior. She states correctly that all the ludicrous actions and decisions by Trump lead only to one conclusion. He needs to create chaos in order to mask his inability to govern. Trump doesn’t care whether his decisions and statements are right or wrong, or even if they help or hurt him in the short term, as long as they result in the necessary amount of chaos-creating news stories and commentary that takes attention away from the catastrophic manner in which he is misgoverning thiscountry.

Last weekend Donald Trump outdid himself when he told four black and brown congresswomen to go back where they came from. He’s talking of course about those “shithole nations” he indicated in an earlier blurt. Just one of the problems with that statement is three of the four were born here and the other is also a citizen. So where did the Fat Liar in the White House want them to go? Should they join his immigrant wife and in-laws at Mar-a-Largo?

So once again we are flabbergasted by Trump’s ability to be more racist, bigoted, xenophobic and misogynistic than even the most Nazi white supremacist. Is it really possible that he thinks this way? Absolutely! Haven’t you been paying attention? Doesn’t he understand the problems he causes by doing this? Of course he does. It’s just that he’s short sighted enough to not understand how much damage these positions really create. The statement about “The Squad” was made to do what Trump always does; create chaos and change the subject. And what was the subject he wanted to change?

This time it was folding on the census question, thereby enraging his base.  As if that wasn’t enough, he followed up by he folding on the ICE raids, the ones that he had had insisted were being made to pick up immigrant criminals. Maybe there just weren’t enough of them out there to need all those raids?

It’s not surprising that Trump would be into all the criminal activity he claims immigrants are engaged in. His own heritage is rife with such activity. His grandfather Friedrich Trump fled Germany to escape the draft. Sound familiar? Remember, you cannot change the genes! After passing through New York, moved on to the gold rush in California. It was there that he opened a restaurant and “hotel”. But it was a special hotel where the rooms had only two things in them; a bed and a scale where the hookers could weigh gold nuggets paid for their services. He made a heap of money and tried to return to Germany but the Germans wouldn’t take him back, citing his previous history as a draft dodger.

So he settled in NYC where his son Fred Trump used his old man’s ill-gotten gains to build housing that crumbled under its minority tenants leading the second Trump to be indicted for criminal activities. Fred fed his brat Donald all the money he needed to completely screw-up a thriving development business, going bankrupt four times before he was indicted for a number of criminal activities including phony airlines, universities and food prep businesses, all of which were simply cons. This has so far completed the chain of criminal activities that have led the Trump clan to be held up as examples of just what the Fat Liar is accusing immigrants of doing.

So looking at this whole history it appears that we have Germany to blame for the disastrous pervert we currently have in the White House. If they had had the good grace to take back the criminal Friedrich Trump we wouldn’t have Donald infecting our government now.

So how did the GOP react to their leader’s racist blurt? What do you mean they didn’t? Oh that’s right, they didn’t. Not one word of condemnation seeped out of any Republican mouth. No attempt to correct; not even an excuse. Just dead silence as the sheep of the GOP fall in line and continue to excuse disgusting behavior by the Fat Liar. Yes, never before have we had such a disgraceful excuse for a human being in the White House but more important, never before have we had such a lily livered, complacent party backing him.

Why have men like Ben Sasse and Mit Romney remained silent? The men who actively opposed Trump like Bob Corker and Jeff Flake didn’t have the balls to stay and fight. They quit rather than stand up for their opinions. The ones who are left, led by the criminal Mitch McConnell simply echoeof Trump’s lies and obfuscations.

And back to McConnell, the most divisive and least constitutionally motivated sleaze in our government. He makes Donald Trump’s attempts at de-democratizing our nation seem like the work of a two-year old.  Trump is the traditional bully, a fat load who pushes and pokes less violently inclined people until they stand up to him and reveal him to be the coward he actually is.

McConnell is a far different breed. He’s the kid who probably was beaten up every day in the schoolyard but who has emerged craftier and more Machiavellian as the intellectual bully who continually finds the weakness in the system and moves to exploit it.

He reminds me of a guy that parked in my driveway one Thanksgiving morning. When I went out and told him to move his reply was, “call a cop.” My house is only a few blocks from the staging area for the Macy’s parade and he knew that no cops would be available for such a call as they were all doing crowd control for the parade. I considered his position for a moment and then pointed out that if he were right they also wouldn’t be available to stop me from beating the shit out of him. Interestingly enough, he saw the logic of my position and moved his car.

That guy was a McConnell clone. His thought process worked just like Mitch’s does. Find the weakness in the situation and exploit it.  Ignore the legality or the morality of the situation but consider only what you desire to happen and move toward that end. McConnell did that with the Supreme Court appointments and now he’s doing it with just about every bill that comes out of the House.

What the Democrats haven’t learned yet is that there is only one way to deal with this approach to government. Find the weakness in his position and attack. I’m not going to get into the fine points of every situation that McConnell is involved in at this minute but suffice it to say that our legal system is so complicated and so cross referenced that any position, no matter how set in stone, is assailable. So it is with McConnell.

The two most obvious attack positions are against his leadership of the Senate. Beat him in Kentucky or take the Senate majority and McConnell is through. House investigations of his wife, Elaine Chow and her family, who are heavily invested in dubious McConnell benefitting plans is another. But that’s not the end of it. Every time McConnell sneezes there should be a House investigation. No one in the history of politics, certainly not anyone with his lack of moral structure, has held power as long as he has without leaving a trail of dirt that should easily be dug up. Yes, these are GOP tactics but it’s about time they were turned on the dirtiest politician of our age.

McConnell has all but crippled our democratic systems, even while he has turned our government into something that ignores the needs of the people in order to expand the wealth of less than 1/10^thof 1% of the population. McConnell’s life is a denial of everything that America stands for and he needs to be blotted out like the stain he is.

But when it comes to dumb there really isn’t any group that contends with the Trump base. These are people who have bought and drunk the Kool Aid to the very last drop. These are people who somehow, still believe that Trump is a man of the people and that they are the people in question.  It has always been evident that Trump’s only talents are salesmanship and the big con but how the hell does a guy who shits on a gold toilet and flies into places on his own airliner convince anyone above the intelligence level of grub that he is a man of the people?  Trump may not be a billionaire but he’s still a hell of a lot richer than any of these poor and middle class clowns who expected him to get them better jobs when it has always been evident that he hates labor, and spent his years as a developer stiffing his labor at the end of each job.

The reality is that Trump got the votes of these simple fools and then said, “fuck off!” They are so dumb they refuse to believe he has abandoned them and they continue to flock to his rallies where he uses them to shout out his idiotic, racist chants. I make these statements in the full belief that if you are not a racist or a millionaire there is no reason to follow Trump and despite a lot of evidence to the contrary I still refuse to believe that 38% of America is racist.
