Steve Scalese was on the tube this weekend, lying about the negotiations over the wall. After almost getting killed this jerk still hasn’t learned a damned thing about the next life. He’s still lying about everything and kissing dishonest asses in this one. One would think that being close to death would have put the fear of God in him. No such luck.
One of the first things Scalese lied about is claiming Nancy Pelosi stated that she would only give a dollar for the wall. That’s a lie! Pelosi has continually stated that she will give nothing for the wall.
What happened was; a reporter asked Pelosi if she would give a dollar for the wall and she laughingly said, “Sure, a dollar.” Indicating her contempt for the idea of paying anything at all.
The problem is, Scalese is not bright enough to recognize sarcasm. He’s also not bright enough to lie and get away with it. He has neither Trump’s generally dishonest mien, nor that of an honest man who actually believes what he is saying. He’s just a scurvy little punk, telling a storekeeper, “No I didn’t steal that candy bar,” while the chocolate is smeared all over his lying mouth.
The problem all the Republicans have with this mess is that they all, even the dumbest ones, realize that there is no legitimate reason for the wall to exist. It’s just Trump trying to fulfill his loudest, most useless wet dream.
But the problem is no longer Trump’s to solve. He has backed himself into a corner and all the lying Scaleses cannot get him out. It now falls to the strongest degenerate in the room to come up with a solution. That, of course, is Mitch McConnell.
In at least the last three or four years, McConnell has made every possible wrong move concerning this nation or the people who inhabit it. Everything he has done from refusing to review legitimate judicial applicants qualifications, to bringing those applicants before congress, to squashing legislature that would benefit the American people but not the super rich, has ben aimed at aiding his rich friends and screwing the rest of the nation.
McConnell has been the most destructive leader the Senate has had in my very long lifetime. He has jammed up the processes by which legislation is moved through congress and he has repeatedly violated his own rules of procedure. He has refused to allow the Senate to put already passed bills back on the floor for a re-vote and yet there has been no upheaval beneath him. The other Republicans fall docilely into line and do whatever he tells them. It has gotten so bad that one is finally forced to ask why?
The vast majority of the Senators behind him are facing a tsunami of destruction in 2020. Still, McConnell by his continued allegiance to the fat liar in the White House is pushing them over the cliff.
The citizens of his own state are too backward to understand that he is more than willing to sacrifice them so the wealthy minority can continue to thrive, even as poor children suffer from malnutrition and are criminally undereducated in failing schools.
Government workers cannot continue to subsidize Trump’s fantasy of a wall. At some point in the near future they will simply have to leave their non-paying jobs and seek remunerated employment. When that happens we face chaos and revolution.
This nation thrives on a sense of right and wrong. Donald Trump has spent his whole life violating those tenants. He is doing it now by using the lives and livelihoods of those who have put their faith in the system, to force a capitulation by those in the right.
The wall has no rational, technical or functional reason for being. The only reason Trump wants it is because he wants it. To make millions suffer because he just wants his way is intolerable. For McConnell to help him in this dastardly endeavor is worse because McConnell knows better. He is not driven by ego or insanity; he is driven by an unholy lust for power and a significant paycheck. He is just choosing a selfish path.
Trump is a madman, a psychotic egomaniac bent on his own destruction. McConnell is an evil spawn of the devil, willing to allow this nut case to destroy the nation as long as it helps him continue in power. They must both be crushed, hopefully by the courts and the electoral process, because if those methods fail we are looking at the distinct possibility of violence in the streets.
One last thought on Scalese. A nut with a gun shot him! Maybe if Scalese had tried to get some serious gun legislation passed instead of kissing the ass of the NRA, the nut who shot him wouldn’t have had the gun he used and Scalese wouldn’t have gotten shot.

Those who have been following Trump must realize that he is using the wall to avoid all the real problems, most of which were inspired by him, that are creeping up on his Presidency. He tells us that he is more than willing to compromise but he won’t consider any of the solutions that are on the table unless they include a wall, the one thing that is not necessary to our border security.
Ted Cruz follows the Republican policy of lying about everything that comes up in the discussion. The problem is that Cruz is trying to convince the American public that the Democrats won’t negotiate when it’s really that Trump won’t negotiate. Trump won’t consider anything that doesn’t include a wall. He is willing to call it something else but he’s still talking about a wall that is a complete waste of money. He has dragged the government workers into a problem that really has nothing to do with them. Why are we keeping the government closed over a border wall? What does a border wall have to do with paying government workers? The answer is obviously nothing. That’s why this writer believes that Trump is completely wrong and entirely responsible for both the shutdown and the inability to resolve the problem over the wall.

It’s come full circle. During the election process Trump gloried in listening to his band of deplorables chant “Lock her up,” during campaign stops. Yesterday he appeared at the New Orleans Convention Center to address the farm lobby and outside hundreds of demonstrators chanted “Lock him up!” in celebration of the criminal in the White House.

Last Thursday Donald Trump signed an $867 billion dollar farm bill. That’s right $867 billion! That’s money that will only have to be spent because Trump is not intelligent enough to understand tariffs but still wanted to play with them. When the moron in the White House started waving tariffs around like they were play money his uneducated approach to trade led him to believe that he could impose tariffs on other countries and that would just mean that they would just pay us to let them send their goods here. Not bloody likely! What they did was increase the prices of their goods to include the tariff cost, thereby making the goods more expensive for Americans to buy. They also imposed tariffs on our goods going into their countries, effectively allowing fewer American goods to be sent to their consumers and hurting our manufacturers and farmers.
Of course the farm belt is serious Trump country, so in order to keep his base from abandoning him he signed the farm bill. The farm bill was truly bi-partisan. The Democrats saw a problem and tried to solve it by helping the farmers and keeping them in business, thereby assuring that we would have adequate food available in this country to feed our people. The Republicans saw an opportunity to help the rich factory farms and their fellow billionaires make a little more money and Trump saved the votes that were sure to abandon him if he hadn’t signed the bill. It was truly an exercise in American cooperation.

For the last month or so, the world media has been having a field day over the brutal murder of Jamal Khashoggi. This story has been strongly promoted by the Washington Post, mainly because Khashoggi wrote for them. I say mainly, because there are other reasons that have to do with morality and free press that are also indicated by The Post’s coverage but that raises another question. What about Fallon Smart?
In 2016, Fallon Smart, a 15 year-old American teenager was crossing Hawthorne Blvd. in Portland, Oregon when a speeding truck driven by Abdulrahman Ameer Noorah hit and killed her. Noorah was driving with a suspended license. He was in this country on a student visa, provided by the Saudi government. The same Saudi government was paying his tuition That’s the Saudi government that also kicked in $100,000 bail to get him out of the can. And then two weeks before his trial in June of 2017 a black SUV pulled up in front of Noorah’s home and drove him to a sand and gravel yard where he discarded the tracking device he had worn since being released from custody and disappeared, back to Saudi Arabia.
Oregon’s senior Senator, Ron Wyden, has asked the Trump administration to assist in getting Noorah back for trial but that just isn’t happening. Anyone surprised? The fat liar in the White House isn’t going to endanger any of his oil investments just because some American kid got killed. Just like the Bush family wasn’t going to endanger theirs simply because planes full of Saudi’s were hitting the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and trying for the White House.
Hell no. The Bush’s loaded the Bin Laden family onto a jet and fully in the face of a ban on all flights sent them back to the safety of Saudi Arabia even as a Saudi manned force commanded by Osama Bin Laden was attacking our country.
I always heard that the Republicans were the patriotic ones but it seems that their patriotism only goes as far as not costing them money. As soon as those oil dollars show up, the bad guys become their bosom buddies.
So I guess it’s not surprising that the White House has nothing to say about MBA butchering a Saudi national even if he did work for an American newspaper and live in the US, or about a Saudi menace that killed a pretty little American teenager because he was so entitled that speeding without a license meant nothing to him. The surprise would be if the fat liar in the White House did something about it.
