So last week Trump addressed an accumulation of bigots and racists known as the CPAC conference and led by a jerk named Matt Schlapp. They laughed at references to John McCain, an American hero, a man who measured against any of them, would make them ooze back into the slime from which they had slithered; then they applauded his death.
What I find really astounding is that after a week in which Trump blew the talks with the North Koreans and was shown to be a lying slime in front of the House Committee; a week during which half his family has come under fire and been exposed to conviction for any number of Federal charges, all on top of the multitude of accusations and crude personal behavior that add up to a President with the morals and stature of a poisonous snake; he still comes up with a 46% approval rating. How is this possible?
Where do the pollsters find 46% of the American public who are willing to approve of this degenerate liar, this disgusting pervert, this crook and con man? Where do they find adult human beings who think it’s okay to be only for oneself, to have no human feelings, no empathy, no sense of right or wrong? But they’re out there and they came in force to CPAC where they could laugh as their President made fun of his betters who disagree with him, where they could laugh and applaud over the death of an American hero. Where they could express all the hideous feelings that make them just as disgusting as the Fat Liar in the White House. CPAC used to be the nuts on the far right of the Republican Party. Now it is the Republican Party in its entirety and it resembles nothing so much as the Nazi Party in the, following Adolph Hitler in the late 1930’s. Everybody in Germany at that time wasn’t a Nazi but many good Germans, like many good Republicans, were just willing to go along.
Yeah, the economy looks good. At least the stock market does but how many Americans are actually invested in the stock market? Yes, a lot of the regulations that have been removed from business have helped businesses expand their bottom line, but at the cost of the health and safety of their employees. It took years for OSHA to approach creation of a safe work place and it’s taken the GOP and Trump two years to destroy it. The ass kissers like Jim Jordan and Kevin McCarthy love to brag about all the stuff that Trump has accomplished but what has he actually done?
He passed a tax bill that cut taxes on billionaires and is busy screwing the middle class. He imposed tariffs on our trading partners and the result is the loss of American jobs and the crushing of the American farming industry. More farmers went bankrupt in the last year than any year since the dust bowl of the 1920’s.
In a world where climate change is the single most important threat to the planet ever, “Trump the Ignorant,” thinks it’s a good idea to make fun of attempts to slow or stop the pollution of the atmosphere. It would be just, if all the ignorant assholes that wanted to ignore climate change so they could make more money, would be the only ones killed by it, but more’s the pity, it just doesn’t work that way. If successful, they will drag the rest of the planet down to extinction with them. I don’t want my grand daughter to die because some greedy pig wants more. How about you?

Donald Trump’s new Attorney General, William Barr, has decided that the nation’s drift toward dictatorship is a good thing as long as that dictator upholds the Christian principals of America’s Religious Right.
Jeff Sessions was a serious threat to this nation’s secular existence but he pales in comparison to Bill Barr, the latest theocrat to hook onto VP Mike Pence’s shirttails.
Barr has called for the federal government to subsidize Catholic education in public schools and has demanded federal legislation to promote Vatican edicts to “restrain sexual immorality,” meaning according to him, the Catholic bans on homosexuality, extramarital sex and birth control. He has attacked the secular views of all these subjects in a manner that makes Pence look like an Atheist and which exhibits the scariest elements of religious fanaticism. And yet he fails to recognize that the Fat Liar who appointed him is guilty of every example of religious immorality imaginable

Listened again the other night to Trump babbling about the caravans of criminals and terrorists rampaging north to attack our borders. It’s pathetic that he never mentions why these poor refugees are taking their lives and the lives of their children in their hands to escape their native lands. It follows that he also never mentions that this kind if immigration declined steadily for the last twenty years but only during his administration is it increasing again. Why? Well, the short answer is, his simplistic isolationist policies that keep us from reaching out a hand to help Central American countries deal with their gang and drug problems have allowed those problems to expand to a point where they are driving the citizens of those countries to abandon their homes and head north to the US.
Trump is just too ignorant to understand, by not spending a little money and helping these countries to deal with their problems we are forcing them to send their problems up to us.
The world has become far too small for Trump’s seventh century isolationist policies to work, but his brain is far too small to understand this simple problem.

Bread and Circuses! Caligula really knew what he was doing. I know this is going to surprise some, but not all; Alabama football coach Nick Sabin is the highest paid government employee in the nation. With his $5 million salary plus perks, Sabin leads the league in stupid spending. In a state where public education is 44th in some polls and lower in most, they spend money they don’t have on a guy who coaches a kid’s sport! I know, things are so terrible in Alabama that they need The Tide’s extraordinary football success as an ego boost just so they can get up in the morning, but that also becomes part of the problem that is crushing their state. Life in Alabama will never get any better unless they start to educate their kids so they can drag this depressing swamp up out of the cesspool.
And they’re not alone. Coaches at Clemson, Oklahoma and any number of other state colleges across the country also make unsupportable amounts to coach football, basketball and other cherished sports. And it all comes out of the taxpayer’s pocket. It all has to be taken from programs that could actually be helping their respective states. The only major college football factories that are not taking taxpayers money to support their programs are the private schools like Notre Dame, Stanford, Northwestern, Wake Forest and Boston College. Even among them, the only one that I am aware of that actually supports it’s own program from the revenues of the sport is Notre Dame.
So when you cheer, cheer for old home team, remember it could be costing your kid his education.

You want to know what’s wrong with our judicial system? Just look at the sentencing results of two recent trails. Paul Manafort was judged guilty of several felonies, among them lying to the feds, the court and just about everyone else he spoke to, tax evasion, money laundering, and working for a Russian spy while working for Donald Trump. He got 47 months.
Now look at Reality Winner who was recently sentenced to 63 months after she pled guilty to revealing information regarding the Russian intervention into our election to the American public. That’s right! Reality Winner is a whistle blower. She wanted the people of our country to know what our government should have revealed to them; Russia was hacking our elections. For that act of heroism and patriotism she is going to jail and for a longer period than Paul Manafort, the traitor who was actually working for the Russians and stealing money. If that doesn’t fry your ass, nothing ever will. Reality Winner should get a parade and Manafort should get life. That would be justice but as long as we have political power affecting our courts, nothing will ever be just.
