GENOCIDE! It’s what the Arab world wants to sell the rest of the world as Israel’s goal in Gaza. The theory is not working. If that were truly their goal the Israelis could have completely wiped-out Gaza in the three months since Hamas brutal attack on Israeli civilians. Now I’m sure there are Israelis who would love to kill a Palestinian or two but that is not the majority of the country. Most just want to knock off Hamas and get on with life. Unfortunately, their current Prime Minister needs to extend the war to stay out of jail, but that should settle itself before too long. The important thing is, there are Arab leaders, specificaly in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, who understand the reality of the war.
Unfortunately, they need a little more give from Bibi, which doesn’t seem to be in the works. Should it happen, or when Netanyahu is gone, maybe we can look forward to a faster reconciliation of the problems.
I know that you are thinking, what about Hamas? They aren’t just going to conveniently disappear. Like all tumors they must be cut out, but that will only happen if the other Arab leaders can get Iran to step back and remove their support from the various terrorist groups they now encourage.

With the GOP trying to redefine democracy to somehow include a Trump presidency, how do we accept this?
We don’t! The New Hampshire primary has shown us that independent voters are overwhelmingly against Trump. I’m not sure that they are for Biden, but at this point, he is the only alternative. The vote in New Hampshire confirms what we have always suspected. Trump with all his baggage is just too much to accept as President of this country. The Maga fools can tells us that they like a particular plan of Trumps, and they may be willing to accept Trump’s criminality, or his racism, his view of women, or of Korean dictators, his acceptance of Putin, despite his territorial goals, or Marjorie Taylor Greene, despite her stupidity, but when you add them all up it just gets to be too much. The criminality, the greed, the obvious desire for dictatorial power, his misogynistic attitude toward women, when added together are just too much for most people to handle even if they like one thing or another he did while President.
Of course, the biggest problem for his supporters is that when they find some program they agree with, it usually turns out he’s lied about it and has repudiated it in the speech after the one in which he suggested it.
Trump’s strongest advantage appeared to be his attack on Biden’s age and vigor but in his latest speeches we see that Trump appears vague and confused, unable to hold thoughts together and failing in his attempts to make valid points.
Both sides appear to have forgotten that Trump is only four years younger than Biden and at that age four years often means nothing.
Biden’s speech, right after the New Hampshire primary was powerful and hard hitting, delivered with vigor, and making powerful points. It now appears that Biden will crush Trump in any debate and leave him hanging on hooks all over the stage.

Doug Burgum, Governor of North Dakota, has endorsed Donald Trump despite the fact that Burgum dd not agree with Trump as to whether the 2020 election was stolen, and thinks Trump has shown himself to be a bigot. When questioned by Martha Raddatz about these things Burgum stumbles and stutters, blatantly unable to make any kind of sensible answer.
Burgum isn’t alone on this. It’s the same story with all the Trump backers. It’s because they’re in it to save their jobs, not the nation. It’s why they’re backing a criminal sociopath who has no concept of international affairs, let alone what’s happening in this country. While I am in total disagreement, I can understand why the GOP politicians are backing Trump. What I can’t understand is why any voter would vote for him. In a previously, failed presidency he proved that he cares nothing for the voters and that he is incapable of fulfilling anything he promises. What in Trump’s record of failure seems so appealing to GOP voters? That remains a mystery.

Everyone is talking about Biden’s age but it’s Trump that’s losing it. In separate incidents this week Trump has told us we will soon be involved in WWII, that he is fighting Obama for the presidency, and has mistaken Nancy Pelosi for Nikki Haley. This is an old man who is losing it as opposed to Joe Biden who may be old but is doing a great job of running the country and guiding it through the madness of a world in chaos and the failing attempts of a criminal sociopath to make it worse.

The concept of Presidential immunity has been bandied about an awful lot lately, mostly from the lying lips of Donald Trump. It has become the most important item on his agenda. That’s understandable because Trump s on trial in so many places for so many things. When he was in office Trump acted like he truly believed that he possessed an immunity that allowed him to do anything he wanted just because he was President, but he jumped the shark this week when he tried to use Harry Truman and his decision to drop the A-bomb as an example of what he is trying to sell to save his sorry ass from criminal prosecution.
Truman had to decide on potentially saving hundreds of thousands of American lives by ending a war that was started by Japan. It was a heroic decision, unlike Trump’s, which were all about him finding a way to get out of some criminal activity in which he was involved.
Trump’s problem is that he has no concept of morality, doesn’t know what it is, how it works or how to apply it. He thinks that because he conned the American public into electing him President, he should be immune from the laws that effect and control the rest of us. He may not understand the concept of dictatorship but he sure in hell wants to be one. He may not be bright enough to understand that using Seal Team Six to assassinate a political rival is something only done by a dictator, but he still thinks it’s a good idea, and one he would love to be able to do. Unfortunately, those who would vote for him don’t see that this is the exact reason why they shouldn’t, and that if Trump gets his way, it will be the end of our democracy.
Currently the treatment of the original inhabitants of Gaza and the West Bank by Netanyahu and the Likud party can only be described as criminal. The raid by Hamas was encouraged (if not made possible) by the confinement and deprivation of their fellow citizens and themselves. I think Hamas is as despicable as the Likud party and Netanyahu, and cannot have support except in retaliation for their treatment.
Similar to clamping a lid down on a Pressure Cooker.
As I recall my Hebrew History class from 72 (seventy-two) years ago, the claim to this Mediterranean homeland was granted to two peoples: one, the Palestinians, whose claim was so old and firm, that it was not being taught or challenged: and two, the escaping slaves from Egypt (same history up to that date). The later, slaughtering their way across the area until the arrived at an acceptable haven to enslave the resident populous as instructed by God (their God, that is). Happily ruled by Judaism until the great land based unifier Alexander the Great conquered the land and left them in charge. There bye setting many battles between the God appointed and the still unrecognized original inhabitants until the Jews were loosed on the rest of the world. Lucky for everyone except the Jews who have been appointed the whipping boy most of the places they escaped to.
That is no excuse for how the Likud Party and Netanyahu have treated the Palestinians. That will remain a pressure cooker waiting to explode until there is at least a two state solution. Waiting for the controlling politics of Israel to treat their fellow citizens as fellow citizens is a lost cause.
Just remember whose homeland this truly is and let’s find a resolution to save two peoples in one homeland.
