Let’s Hear it for Pre-Trial Detention

Pre-trial detention. It’s the cure for the infection that is Donald Trump. It’s part of the law for the exact purpose of gagging criminals like Donald Trump who ignore judge’s instructions and continue to threaten those associated with the criminal actions that have been, brought against the likes of our demented ex-President.

The problem is that some judge must, eventually have the courage to actually send Trump to jail. The cowards sit around and discuss the alternatives such as house arrest, or something similiar, because he is an ex-President. But they are ignoring the fact that he’s a career criminal and must be treated as such if only because he continually acts the part. I have now seen three judges who aren’t involved in any action against Trump, asked for a solution to Trump’s behavior. None of them had the stones to even mention pre-trial detention because, God forbid, they could someday be involved in a trial that also included Trump, and they might be faced with having to make  that decision. It seems that no one in our criminal justice system has any guts. That begins with Merrick Garland and goes all the way to the jurists currently involved in Trump trials.

There is nothing that Donald Trump needs more than 72 hours in a common cell in Rikers.

Senator Chris Van Hollen was on This Week on Sunday making a case for the people of Gaza. He makes all the right arguments about what we and the rest of the world, should be doing in Gaza but when he needs to come up with some plan as to how to do it, just like everyone else, he’s stuck for an answer. All of Van Hollern’s arguments about what we’re doing wrong and what we should do, stop at the fact that the Israeli’s must destroy Hamas. There are no ifs, ands, or buts. There is only one goal and that is a fact because Hamas has made it a fact. Hamas will not stop until they are completely destroyed. This is glaringly illustrated by the Isis attack on Moscow last week. Hamas and Isis are the same animal. They are fanatic religious terrorists who understand no logical argument, admit to no other point of view but their own twisted fanaticism, and recognize no goal but the death of their enemies, in this case Israel.

The pro-Palestinian demonstrations are absolutely seeking the right goal, the relief of the Palestinian people in Gaza. But because of their religious affiliations, they are seeking it in the wrong place. The Israelis cannot give them relief because to do so will mean surrendering to the monsters of Hamas, and this they can never do, or they will incur annihilation.  Those people of good intention and good will must seek relief from the fanatic forces of Hamas and that means they must support the quickest, most complete elimination possible of those forces, for then and only then will this massacre end. But that means more innocents dying and we continue to go around and around.

Mike Turner ® Ohio, was on Face the Nation, last week talking about getting arms to the Ukrainians, which I thought was very interesting. Turner has been one of the biggest impediments to that money actually getting where it’s needed.

When confronted with Trump selling Bibles with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights inside them, Turner did a big switch to Biden forbidding religious symbols from being printed on the eggs that were being supplied for the annual White House Easter Egg Hunt. Well, if this is true, then they’re both ludicrous. I know Trump would sell his mother if there was a buck in it but when the antithesis of morality starts selling the supposed word of a God, the tenants of which he constantly violates. That’s as bad as it gets.

Is it true, and coming from Turner it probably isn’t, that Biden bothered to issue an edict about eggs? Actually, the rule has been in effect or 45 years. But maybe, since Easter is a religious holiday, all religions being represented by something non-religious is a good idea. But by a bunny and dyed eggs? Maybe, in the church of John Waters.

Wilton Cardinal Gregory, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Washington. DC, and Bishop Marion Edger Budde, head of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington gave their opinions on Joe Biden and his ability to deal with the abortion problem on face the Nation, this week. Gregory Lost! Any questions?

So, what’s the item du jour that highlights Trump’s insanity. How about the picture he exhibited of Biden tied up in the back of a pickup? Really? This is how Trump expects to add to his voters? Who does he expect to attract, the Mafia and the Russian mob? I would suggest that Trump has lost his mind except he hasn’t had one to lose for years. He operates on animal instinct and unfortunately the animal is rat.

Joe Lieberman died this week. A great loss. I didn’t always agree with Joe but there was no denying he was a thoughtful, moral man who was a definite plus for the country.  I had always hoped his association with John McCain would lead to something. Unfortunately, it never did. But they were both great American’s who understood the difference between right and wrong.

I have always thought that Fareed Zacharia is the smartest guy on the political spectrum, but twice in the last few days he has espoused a political position, that I think is insupportable when he suggested that rather than prevent Donald Trump from gaining access to the ability to run for President, we debate him in an attempt to create belief for our cause within the ranks of his supporters. Frankly I think that’s a ludicrous concept. Trump’s failure to accept the concept of truth or to recognize that there are such things as facts makes logical debate impossible. What is the basis for any point to be made in a debate if one of the participants does not recognize the fact of truth? Trump only recognizes what he wants. There is no truth in his universe, only Trumpian desires. And you cannot prove him wrong about anything because he bases everything, he says on what he wants, not on how things are.

I’ve always thought you were a genius, Fareed. How would you manage to adjust Trump’s twisted logic into something that could produce a reasonable point that could be argued. Any debate that includes Trump must result in the contestants giving up any attempt at reaching a conclusion and just screaming “liar” at each other in the middle of the stage.

The fat sociopath went on another rant against NATO on Wednesday. He’s worried that some other country won’t pay their assigned percentage of their defense budgets. Yeah, Trump worrying about someone not paying a bill. That’s a riot! he man who stiffed more contractors than any builder in the history of NYC. There isn’t a lawyer who will represent him without getting paid upfront because everyone knows that he is the kind of deadbeat who NEVE.R pays his bills. He even had the nerve to try and stiff the wise guys when his Atlantic City casino flopped.  He was such a great businessman that he somehow managed to lose a casino, Luckily, his old man bailed him out or he would have been fish food.

  1. Total agreement on the criminal justice system having no guts. Boy, those judges really give him a ‘talking-to’!! and every pundit on tv thinks “Boy, they really told him!” Where is weak Garland and the others. They know he won’t shut up!!! Take him away!!

  2. Bill,
You know the Secret Service wouldn’t allow the Fat Ass to be sodomized at Rikers! They would have to share a cell with him, and that’s not what they signed up for when the joined the Homeland Security.
