There’s an election coming up in about a year. That should give the American people a chance to kick out a significant number of the 221 House Republicans who voted to impeach Biden with no evidence and in fact, no crime to indicate he did anything that might be considered impeachable.
But that’s just the political reason to shitcan the bunch of them. There are many, many practical reasons as well. The GOP congressmen and women represent a group of non-functional losers that have accomplished nothing in the course of their entire terms in office. In fact, they actually have a negative standing on the board as they have stopped a great deal of legislation that would have helped the American people to move ahead with better lives.

Republican congressman James Comer has had a lot to say about Hunter Biden and the President, especially regarding money and banking that Comer tells us is laundered through shell companies. It turns out that Comer is somewhat of an expert on this subject. Investigation into his finances has shown that he has many of the same type investments as he claims Hunter indulged in, and any number of shell companies in which he is involved. Maybe Comer’s name should be included with that of Hunter Biden as a co-conspirator.

What’s going to happen in Gaza when the war is over. Who’s going to run it and how will it be run?
There are reports that the United States is meeting with the PLO in attempts to set up a government for that, all but decimated city. But what about Israel? Surely, they will have to have a seat at the table, especially since the PLO keeps talking about including Hamas as a partner in the governing process. And that’s where the cooperation is going to stop. Yes, the PLO is a weak organization and their inability to govern their part of the West Bank is part of what led Hamas to attack Israel, but before any of this happened, they were once offered the governance of Gaza and they refused. That allowed Hamas to win an election that gave them all the power in Gaza.
The PLO has had many opportunities to achieve a two-state solution but has passed on all of them. One of the elements that is believed to have instigated the Hamas attack, was the United States giving up on the PLO and
initiating talks sponsored by Qatar, involving the Arab States, with a goal to have them recognize Israel and work out some kind of Two-State solution. Hamas could not allow this recognition of Israel and goaded on by Iran, they attacked.
So, what to do? Well, the obvious solution should be to try and reverse the mistakes made last time a division was attempted and lay out workable areas that might satisfy everyone. Of course, everyone knows that is impossible. There are too many fanatics involved in the process so instead of trying to satisfy two sides that don’t want to be satisfied, maybe the attempt should be made to lay out a fair solution and force the parties to accept it in order to get the financing that will be necessary to make peace and the rebuilding process happen.
So, what does that look like? It looks like Gaza goes back to Israel, and a sizeable portion of the West Bank, up to 100%, becomes Palestine. Sure, everyone is going to yell bloody murder but that, in the long run, is fair. It would put an end to the bad joke of two separate parcels of Palestinian land, and it would allow Gaza to be leveled and rebuilt while making a fair amount of land available on the West bank for a Palestinian homeland that borders Jordan. It would be nice if the parties that work out the settlement could push or bribe Syria out of the Golan Heights but that seems unlikely.
The best scenario seems to be that the U.S. would get that Arab group together again and propose something whereby they offer Israel recognition in exchange for a good deal for the Palestinians. Then, of course we’d have to get the Palestinians to recognize what’s good, and agree to it. The whole proposition is not something I’d put a serious bet on but it’s certainly worth the shot.

Inflation! It’s the big noise from the GOP. There was a story in the NY Post last Sunday about a vendor selling a 13.5’ Christmas tree for $1,750 after he had sold another one, 12’ high for $1,200. That’s not inflation, that’s gouging. That’s a greedy son-of-a-bitch knowing that no one can resist their kids at Christmas and taking advantage. Of course, there’s inflation when people are willing to spend that kind of money for a Christmas tree they will throw away in two weeks.
The fact is, Biden has very little to do with inflation. In fact, Trump did just as much or more to cause inflation and weak willed, greedy, people willing to spend any amount to fulfill their petty desires are causing it to continue.
We wanted higher wages, and Biden got them for us. So, manufacturers raised prices to pay those wages and that led to a rise in the cost of goods and services. But everyone didn’t get the higher wages. The people who didn’t, got screwed, and they are the ones complaining about inflation. The cost of living went up for everyone, but everyone didn’t get the salary raise to compensate for it.

Nikki Haley was asked the key question of this election last Sunday and her answer failed, which mans she failed.
The question? “Do you think that being President means that you are above the law.” Her answer: “I leave that to the courts. I have other things to think about.”
No, you don’t!
You can’t leave that to the courts. You must have an answer because the answer tells the voters if you think, as Trump does, that being the President makes you all powerful and therefore a dictator.
Trump thinks that way, which is why he must never be allowed to take office again.
Haley has announced her platform as, “no drama, no vendetta, no whining.” It looks more like “no thinking.”
She tells us that Trump was the right man for the right time. How and when? He practically destroyed the country by passing only a single piece of major legislation. The one which helped the rich get richer, while beating up the little guy. He did this while he was not building his wall and not having Mexico pay for it. He did it whie buddying up with Putin, thereby giving him the go ahead to invade Ukraine, and by making friends with a North Korean dictator and acting like a fool toward him even as the little creep was building a nuclear war machine. One more year in office and we would have been speaking Russian in our state capitols and using Chinese on all our business forms.
If it was up to Trump, there would be no more NATO and China would already rule the South Pacific. And if you listen to Nikki Haley, you will find out that she will lead us into the same kind of mess because she really wants to be Trump’s VP.
